the Stay.Campus — Hotel in Planegg

I’ve lived at the Stay Campus for the past six months, for the summer semester. My stay couldn’t have been better.

I instantly loved my room: it was spacious, modern and in perfect condition. My kitchen, room and bathroom were separated in different parts (the rooms and views are not all the same). My windows were big. All the rooms (I’ve seen) have plenty of sunlight.

The neighborhood is safe and calm. There are a lot of facilities nearby: supermarkets, restaurants, biergarten, gym, bars, cafeteria, pharmacy, university campus, etc. Everyone I’ve met at the dorm or in the surroundings is really nice.

There is always staff at your disposal: the contractor, the Residence workers and cleaning staff. The shared kitchen and living room and the terrace are relaxing, well-equipped and cleaned everyday.

Be conscious that the dorm is not exactly at Munich. For instance, if you study at Garching, the ride will take 1h - 1h 15min, which was my case and to go to the center it’ll take 30 - 40 min. However, there are a lot of public transport options and they are all OK.

The location is ideal if you study at the Chemistry or Biology campus of LMU. It is also really close to the U-Bahn(10min. with bus) and the S-Bahn (15min. with bus). Its a 25min. distance from the centre of Munich.

Really nice and bright rooms with their own bathroom and small kitchen. There is also the option of a heating system during winter. The common areas (campus lounge, laundry room, stairs etc.) are cleaned on a daily basis and the furnitures of the building are really modern.

There is also easy communication with the management and the stuff is very kind and friendly. Next to the campus is also the hotel where your family or friends can stay if they come to visit.

The campus is also located in a quite neighbourhood where you have access to supermarkets, shops, restaurants, medical centre etc.

Overall, its a really convenient place to stay during your studies and the benefits it provides are...

Really a cool place for a student :) Was a bit skeptical at first because of some posts I saw on the internet (and someone claiming that this was a scam) but after my stay of 6 months there, I was really glad about this decision! Really helpful and dedicated staff, very well equipped apartment :) some downsides are: you cannot stay there for more than a year so it’s not a permanent solution for most students in Munich :)

Edit: Bonus points because I received my deposit back quite fast without any hassles, only once after sending my bank details.✌🏻

Edit #2: Obviously it’s your responsibility to read the contract that you sign. It’s not true that you are basically kicked out since it’s right there in the contract that anyone can stay up...
