Beautiful day drive along the Mosel, heading to Koblenz...decided to stay in Lof overnight which was quite the savings compared to staying in Koblenz and also only 30 minutes from the city. Arrived around 8pm and had a difficult time trying to find parking at the time of night. There was absolutely no parking in front of the hotel, but there was parking across the street right along the river. ||When you enter the foyer, to the right there is a flight of stairs to get to the hotel front desk, but if you do not do well with stairs, go to the left down a hallway and the elevator is immediately to the left. We checked in with two room options available to us. The first room was smaller and you could get to it using the elevator, the second option was a larger room on a higher floor with stairs involved. We asked how many stairs to the larger room and the front desk told us "two". I'm thinking...why not get a larger room and only have two stairs to get there, sure! We took the larger room on the Sunset Boulevard floor with 3 flights of stairs...3 FLIGHTS! With full suitcases in tow, we took two trips up the stair well. Obviously there was a German to English translation confusion, and was not impressed after dang near blowing a lung going up and down the stairs 4 times! Finally got settled into the Charlie Chaplin room, yes Mr. Chaplin stared at me all night. The room had a king bed and a single, hence the larger, dated room. We had dinner at the steakhouse right in the hotel. The meal was very good, the service was horrendous. We waited 40 minutes just to get our bill and at no time did anyone come by and ask us if we needed anything. I found the other hotel guests had the same issue. One side of the restaurant had reservations, the other, hotel guests. More attention was spent on the reservation side.||There is complimentary breakfast in the morning in the steakhouse area. Nicely displayed breakfast items. If you actually want to sample as much as possible do not arrive just before the breakfast closes. There wasn't much left and the servers were not to keen on replenishing anything, and to no surprise, they were the same servers from the night before in...
Read moreHotel Lellmann is set in beautiful surroundings, where you have views of the river Mosel and beautiful hills with vineyards which run along the river for miles. The rooms are stunning, very clean, the staff are helpful and very polite and you also have staff there who speak English if you can't speak German.||||I stayed with my partner we were visiting my mum who lives in Brodenbach. The area is so picturesque and great for people who enjoy walking if not you can normally get a taxi within 5 -20 minutes. There are some decent restaurants in the area that provide a good service. Evening walks are just as beautiful as the daytime very relaxing.||||The hotel itself has a gym, sauna, steam room, sunbeds, relaxation room and a beautiful swimming pool. We were sad to leave as we only spent two nights there. We'll definitely be staying longer when we return. We had one of the themed rooms which was a little more pricey but worth every penny. We stayed in the Romeo and Julliette suite. ||||They do a self serve continental breakfast absolutely delicious and the rolls are so crisp and fresh and soft in the middle. You can connect straight to their WiFi you do not need a password. Löf/Brodenbach is a place of pure relaxation and beauty and should be enjoyed in spring and summer time.||||If you're looking to party this is...
Read moreWe had booked for 2 nights. Our room overlooked the river which was lovely but the road noise between to hotel and the river was too much. We ate in their steak restaurant the day we arrived, there was not much choice considering a “steak” restaurant, however our meal was quite okay, the local red wine was delicious. ||||Whilst the decor of our room was slightly bizarre to say the least, the bed was extremely comfortable. ||||The following morning at breakfast was a disaster. The other guests were not at all bothered about social distancing whilst at the buffet and didn’t appear to sanitise their hands on entering the restaurant. They had it in mind to eat and to hell with the consequences which was very very disappointing to say the least. One solitary waitress had to serve coffee, clear and sanitise tables etc which was ridiculous. We decided to leave after breakfast as we could not abide the thought of going through this again the following morning. Upon checking out we were not asked why we were leaving early just told we would have to pay for two nights. This was fine by us as health has no price!!!||||It appeared that the owners were very greedy in filling the whole hotel with guests and did not even try to stagger the breakfast times making it less of a “scrum down”.||||We were extremely...
