Romantik Hotel Waldschlösschen — Hotel in Schleswig

Overall a Nice, beautifull hotel with rude staff. ||I have just had a mini vacation with my 2 children at the Waldschlösschen hotel. |We are not coming back! And please if you decide to go, tripplecheck your reservation and the final bill when you leave. And dont bring your Children! They will not feel welcome! ||The hotel is like a time capsule, mostly elderly people there, beautiful surroundings and nice food. The spaarea is fine with several saunas. |The staff is what really made this stay a bad memory. I called AND wrote to the hotel before my booking to make sure that children, mine are 7 and 10, where welcome. Both in the hotel and in the spa. I always do that when i go the hotels with Spa, cause i totally understand if the have a “no children” police. The answer was that the where welcome both places. In the spa until from morning to afternoon. ||I booked via booking.com about 2 weeks before the stay. I tapped in the number and ages of my children and the site offered several different rooms suited for 3 people. |the one i chose was 278 euro including breakfast. Perfect! Around 8 pm the night before we where going, a man from the reception called me and asked if if was correct that i only wanted a singleroom. Of course i told him no, cause i was going with my to children. He refused that a had booked a room for the 3 of us, he only knew the children where going cause i had asked if they where welcome in the hotel and spa. |I had no other choice but to book another room, a doubleroom and pay 35 euro ekstra for each kid.|when we arrived we could see that we couldnt fit all 3 of us in the bed so i called the reception to ask if we could get a rollaway bed for one of the kids. Also there where only 2 dovets and pillows. |They saids the would check if that was possible and 30 min later, a woman came with a duvet but no bed. Again I asked for a bed buy she said They didn’t have extra beds (which hotel doesn’t?) but that she would check and get back to me soon. |We never heard from her again. |We waited til 9 pm and the all when to sleep in the same bed. ||Next morning at breakfast I asked if it was possible to reserve one of the tables at the window overlooking the meadow. Yes of course, no problem at All. 9.30 next morgen. |We came at exactly 9.30 next morning and went to the table we reserved. It had a reserved sign on it. A woman came and told us we couldn’t sit there cause it was reserved. I told her I believed it was reserved for us and told her our room number. No, we had no reservation and she escorted us to a room next to the restaurant with absolutely no ambience or cosyness. I was quite surprised and simply didn’t know what to say. |At the end we just went and sad at our table and no one said anything. |Last but surtainly not least, the children where absolutely not welcome in the spa. |I told my children that there was no jumping, yelling or playing load and they complied very fine. |Every time they went out of the water a woman came running after them with some kind of broom, scrubbing the floor and given them a dirty look. If there was the slightest sound when the went in the water, she yelled after them. I couldn’t believe it. An elder German woman got so angry at her for yelling at my kids that she told her to stop! She told me it was like that at all Ring Hotels in Germany, “they don’t like children” she said. |Wish had know that before I booked. |I’m never going to one of there hotels...

Family tour with 4 couples. Had book 4 Spa-superior rooms near the Wellness center.||We we checked in they had changed /updated computer system and our booking was changed to normal hotel rooms by their mistake! ||The reception staff was not able to do any thing and we got 4 double rooms as far as possible from the Wellness center on the 2nd floor in the building on the other side of the street.||They did not offer a lower room rate - we had to ask for it.||We ask for a compensation and they offer us 10€ each person for drink in the restaurant.||Another thing; the staff at the wellness center scolded the adults as if they were children and accused us of pouring water on the floor, even though it was the pool that had run over due to too much water in the pool.||This was our second and last stay...

The hotel is situated a few kilometres from Schleswig town in a quiet area.||The room was nice and clean with great beds and a fine, fully equipped bathroom.||We were on the ground floor, så we had a small terrace as well.||There is a fitness-room, spa and swimmingpool, and bathrobe and bath slippers are on a shelf in every room.||Breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly and professional.||We can highly...
