Gasthof & Pension "Zum Auerhahn" — Hotel in Schlitz

This cozy little family - owned Gasthof is our favorite place in Schlitz. It doesn't pretend to be more than it is: a quiet, homey place to stay with good food and friendly service. They serve the most tender Schnitzel we've tasted, and the salad is delicious. Nothing fancy, just good, honest food, clean, comfortable rooms and plenty of good atmosphere and Gemütlichkeit in a half-timbered building from the 1600s. The only drawback can be that there is sometimes a lot of smoking going on in the bar. If you are looking for a room with silk sheets and a jacuzzi, this is not the place for you, but if you want to experience heartfelt German hospitality, you won't get it better...

In Mitten einer kleinen Ortschaft gelegen liegt dieser kleine Gasthof. Etwas urig, in die Jahre gekommen (Ensembleschutz), zumindest wirkt es Anfangs so. Wer es rustikaler mag und nicht auf den unnötigen Schikkimicki besteht, ist hier richtig. Freundliches Personal, Zimmer top gepflegt, super ausgestattet. Kinderbett herzlich hergerichtet, Frühstück sehr umfangreich und ausgiebig. Abendessen sehr lecker, die Gaststube mit vielen kleinen Details und Pflanzen ausgestattet. Ein Nebenraum wirkt wie ein kleines Museum. Preis-Leistung: Hervorragend. Jederzeit wieder. Fahrradfahrer sind wirklich willkommen.
