Parkhotel Jordanbad used to be much better. My wife and I have visited the Parkhotel and Spa at least once a year, for the last 16 years. ||Service used to be friendly and professional and it seemed to have good management. Unfortunately, our experience in January was very disappointing. ||I had booked a room with "King Size Bed" on the hotel's website. At check-in, the rather unfriendly receptionist claimed that I had reserved a room with a much smaller "French Bed". I showed her my reservation confirmation which on top of the page stated "Queen Size" Bed and next to the quoted price "King Size" bed for the room I had booked. The reception desk staff was unable and unwilling to accept the price of my reservation confirmation. The management staff was not present and unavailable by phone for the next 2 days. Are they misleading their guests on purpose, so that they can charge a higher price? I requested to stay in a room with a Queen size bed, but was forced to pay a higher price than quoted on my booking.||The hotel apparently does not accept the conditions of their own booking site.||The owner, Thomas Lerch would not return my phone calls or e-mail.||Judging from our experience, the manager has reception staff on the premises which has no decision making authority and does not care about this frequent guest.||We had a rather unpleasant stay which totally goes against the "Wellness" philosophy of the...
Read moreI chose the accommodation at this hotel based on the reviews: 4.5* from 1586 people. It means a lot and makes you think that it really is a 4* and luxury hotel. I was accommodated in room 512 on 3-4.06.'24 and I had no feeling of being accommodated in a luxury or 4* hotel, but rather in a sanatorium. I understand that this location has renovated and non-renovated rooms, bad luck means that I was assigned this one. The space in the room is limited, not to mention small, the bathroom and shower occupy approximately 40% of the surface and 10% is allocated to a cramped office. The (double) beds take up about 30-35% and the rest is travel space. The furniture is minimalistic and looks unfriendly, the doors are scratched and the walls dirty, there are cobwebs on the ceiling and the bathroom sink is chipped. The room is noisy, being located near the elevator and the church (from where the bell rings very often). The TV is only 80 cm diagonal and outdated, in the room you don't have a coffee maker or water heater for tea. The Wi-Fi connection is free and the speed is acceptable. Yes, there is free parking. The breakfast is disappointing and seems composed of cheap products. I will definitely...
Read moreWe are long time guests and always enjoy going to Jordanbad. It is nice to see a place be able to keep such high standards over the 15 years we have been coming to visit. There are a few points to be mentioned about our trip. All the staff is incredibly nice. The rooms are clean and neat. I personally missed the minibar and the little cake in the room this time, but that’s just me. The Therme was more than full due to the holidays which was very unpleasant. Finding a seat was more than difficult. In Feuerstein the service was prompt as well as the food. In the Jordanbad Restaurant on January 2nd we did wait a little more than an hour after ordering for our food which with two children was stressful. Daher was unfortunately not in the bar which caused the service and quality to be a little lacking. All in all I still will be...
