Hotel Kapellenberg — Hotel in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Eibelstadt

We arrived in Frankfurt and drove toward the Romantic Road. Our first stop was going to be Würzburg. If you want to stay in a city, this is not the place for you. We like quiet off the beaten path places and had a car so this was perfect for us. As others have mentioned, we looked for a place with free wi-fi, free parking, and breakfast included and this had all three. It was a nice clean place, seemed fairly new, was completely accessible to major roadways and was close to Würzburg. It had a bar and a restaurant. It is a small conference hotel so it is kept up well. We checked in and then went to Würzburg to check out Marienberg Fortress and the Würzburg Residence. We saw what we wanted and had a decent stay at Hotel Kapellenberg. Our only request would be that smokers not be allowed to smoke near the restaurant door where the smell wafts into the dining area. Perhaps have an outdoor eating and smoking area away from the door to the restaurant. This way non smokers can also enjoy eating outdoors too but they will be seated nearer to the door of...

Great , new hotel with excellent service and easy access. I stayed here with my family. Booked it on the way to the north. The building and rooms feel new. Cool design, very clean.

We had dinner at the restaurant, and although they have very limited vegetarian options no vegan dishes, they were very accomodating and they adjusted the dishes. Although I would have been happy to pay the full price to the altered dishes, they (very fairly) reduced the prices of the ones that didn't need much change just the meat had to be take off. It's not the price but the thought and the gesture that I really appreciated.

There is a new and we'll equipped gym that is good for an early morning workout. The sauna is amazing. Spacious, clean, calm.

Staff is super nice. They speak good English. What is is most impressing: of they don't know the English word for something, they look it up.

Eigentlich würde ich dem Hotel wirklich sehr gerne die volle Sternanzahl geben, denn das Hotel an sich ist ausgezeichnet: Super Lage in der Nähe von Würzburg, saubere und moderne Zimmer, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, tolles Frühstück.

Wenn ich jedoch unseren Aufenthalt dort bewerte, muss ich leider 2-3 Sterne abziehen (ich habe mich für die "mildere" Bewertung entschieden). Warum? Wenn man ein Hotel bucht, ist das entscheidende Kriterium die Schlafqualität, denn vor allem dafür ist das Hotelzimmer da, z.B. bei einem Städtetrip, wie wir ihn unternommen haben: Sich nach einem ausgefüllten Tag ins Bett fallen lassen und ausruhen. Ist die Schlafqualität nicht gegeben, fehlt etwas Fundamentales.

Leider war das am Wochenende 06.12. - 08.12. hier der Fall. An beiden Abenden vor den Übernachtungen fanden jeweils Firmenfeiern im Erdgeschoss statt, die bis weit in die Nacht andauerten. Wenn diese dann noch mit einem Musiklautstärke unterlegt werden, so dass ich in unserem Zimmer im zweiten Stock jedes Lied ganz genau mitsingen kann, so als ob bei uns im Zimmer das Radio (nur mit mehr Bass) laufen würde, dann passt hier etwas nicht. Die Musik spielte am Freitag bis ca. 2 Uhr nachts, vielleicht auch länger, aber dann schlief ich ein, am Samstag war es bis ca. 1 Uhr. Bei allem Verständnis, dass ein Hotel sein Geld nicht nur mit Übernachtungen verdienen kann und ja auch als Tagungshotel ausgewiesen ist, sollte man sich dann überlegen, Geld in geeignetere Räumlichkeiten, sprich bessere Schallisolierung zu investieren oder den Lautstärkepegel für die Nachtruhe entsprechend zu regulieren, so dass die übrigen Hotelgäste durch die Feiern nicht am Schlaf gehindert werden.

Zumindest eine Information über mögliche Lärmentwicklung, wie man das z.B. bei einer größeren Feier mal unter Nachbarn macht, wäre schon nett gewesen. Ich habe keine entdecken können.

Wie gesagt, mir tut diese Bewertung gewissermaßen leid, das Hotel an sich ist...
