Mäser´s Allgäuherz Hotel — Hotel in Wiggensbach

Starting off with the staff...very friendly and very helpful. It is beautiful on the out- and inside. The room was spacious and to get a fresh water bottle each day is top! It's quiet and that is something I like. The elevator sounds like it's from the 50ies and the pace of it says the same.

Yes it has a gym but it's a public one. The equipment is big but depending on when you're going, it could be crowded. I didn't like the opening hours. While you have to use a key card to get in why not access for 24h a day. I don't get it. Again I'm an early bird and 6 am is already too late for me, when I have to be at a customer at 7 am. While it's public there are no towls or water fountains in the gym. As a gym buff, that is a no go for me.

The breakfast had a good variety and it's beautifully decorated and arranged. What didn't went well with me was for example scrambled eggs and bacon that wasn't ready at opening time. When the time is set at 6.30 am than I want everything set at this time. I want the variety to choose from and not have to wait until everything comes out from time to time.

The restaurant and evening dinner is delicious!

All in all it was a good stay...

We spent 2 nights here just last week and loved it. From the moment we walked in I felt a good vibe about the place. The staff were wonderful. The hotel itself was very clean and cozy and our room was very comfortable with a nice little balcony. My only "complaint" was that the serving size of the wonderful food was too big. I hate to waste food but I could not finish either evening meal. Breakfast was delightful as I could pick and choose what to eat and the choices were wonderful. The location was lovely as well and the weather allowed us to sit outside at the front of the hotel and just watch the goings on. I would have been happy to spend another night or two here. Mia moglie ed io abbiamo soggiornato in questo albergo per 4 notti e ci siamo trovati malissimo. Come dice il proverbio "il buon giorno si vede dal mattino" ed infatti il primo impatto è stato deludente. La proprietaria che ci ha accolti si è dimostrata molto "fredda" e non ha voluto darci la camera non prima delle 14.00. E' vero che questo è l'orario stabilito per il check-in ma in tutti i numerosi alberghi in Germania in cui abbiamo alloggiato in questi anni il personale addetto alla reception si è sempre dimostrato collaborativo e la camera ci veniva data con largo anticipo sull'orario prestabilito. Ma, a parte questo, la camera era spaziosa ma... il phon non funzionava, la doccia aveva il "braccio" rotto e quindi fare la doccia era uno stress e non un piacere; il bagnoschiuma consisteva in 2 boccettine piccolissime che non sono state mai rimpiazzate una volta finite (il secondo giorno sono stati aggiunti due boccettine piccole di shampoo!) ed il sapone per le mani non c'era: sono comparse due saponettine soltanto il secondo giorno. Anche la pulizia non era un granchè: basti dire che il portacene del balcone non è stato pulito per 3 giorni fino a quando mia moglie lo ha messo in evidenza su una seggiola, il che voleva dire che il balcone non era stato pulito. L'arredamento era deprimente, soprattutto quello della sala ristorante. La colazione è stata abbastanza ricca fintanto che c'erano gli ospiti di un matrimonio che si è svolto al sabato e gli ospiti del week-end ma al lunedì la colazione era scarsa e in più costituita dagli avanzi. Per quanto riguarda il ristorante, le voci del menù non erano tantissime e i cibi erano speziati e piccanti e i piatti non erano presentati bene e non erano abbondanti.Servizio non professionale e molto lento. Tra l'altro pochi ospiti e atmosfera gelida, molto sconfortante. Inoltre, i prezzi sia della camera che del ristorante erano troppi alti e non corrispondenti a quanto effettivamente offerto. Insomma una delusione unica con il desiderio di lasciare questo posto al più presto (cosa che avremmo fatto se non ci fosse stata una pesante penale da pagare).
