Hotel & Restaurant Kranichsberg — Hotel in Woltersdorf

Me and my husband John had a tour in Berlin to witness the Christmas market last December 2014. It was our last few days left stay in Berlin before proceeding our trip to Prague, Czech Republic. This hotel and restaurant is located at the very peaceful fresh outskirt ambience of Berlin. Its surrounded by lakes with its natural beauty. Sad to say, we forgot the name of the very kind, humble, down to earth owner. He was very good. The hotel has its own restaurant with very fine delicious food. The bed and the room was very clean, fresh beddings and has good heating. The price of the hotel was reasonably cheap. All the staff speaks good understandable English and are very friendly. I am sure, that this summertime, this hotel will be full of customers because of its beautiful location. We will be going back to this same hotel on May 2015 during our trip to Vienna and Budapest. We will gladly recommend this hotel and restaurant to the public with full thumbs up...

Stayed for 6 nights whilst attending a motorcycle event in the area, after a slight hiccup with the 8 rooms I had booked the young lady on reception despite speaking only a little English and non of us with any knowledge of German it was quickly sorted out. Breakfast was fantastic and they accommodated our request for early breakfast 2 days out of the 6. We ate in the hotel most nights and once again they coped with our large party with relative ease. Rooms were clean and tidy (ours was in the main building but others in party stayed in the adjoining house) Swimming pool quite tiny, I didn't use it but some members of party took advantage of the facility. Wir haben im Rahmen einer Veranstaltung das Familienzimmer mit unserem 1 1/2 jährigem Sohn gebucht. Die durchgeführte Veranstaltung war gut organisiert und auch das Essen war sehr lecker. Leider hat uns das Zimmer nicht besonders gut gefallen. Es war sehr klein und unmodern und sehr gedrängt ausgestattet. Die Einrichtung bestand aus einem zweitürigen Kleiderschrank (der vollkommen ausreicht für seine Zwecke) einem Abstellplatz für den Koffer, einem Fernsehtisch, einem Doppelbett, einem Couchtisch und einer ausklappbaren Schlafcouch. Diese mussten wir zum Glück nicht für unseren Sohn ausklappen. Wir hätten sonst nicht gewusst, wohin mit dem Couchtisch. Der Platz war sehr beengt. Auch das Bad war sehr klein und sehr unmodern. Das Zimmer und das Hotel waren so weit sauber, bei genauerem Hinsehen hat man jedoch die eine oder andere Stelle entdeckt, die besser sauber gemacht hätte werden können. Im Großen und Ganzen jedoch kein Grund zur Beschwerde. Allein der Preis hat uns stutzig gemacht. Für das Familienzimmer, das für uns mit einem Kleinkind gerade ausreichend war, für eine richtige Familie (Eltern plus zwei Kinder) aber eindeutig zu klein, haben wir im Rahmen der Veranstaltung 105 Euro pro Nacht gezahlt. Dies fanden wir zu teuer, insbesondere im Vergleich mit vorher besuchten Hotels mit höherem Standard und mehr Platz, obwohl nur ein Doppelzimmer gebucht war. An unserem Abreisetag haben wir das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch kritisiert. Leider wurde unser Feedback sofort abgeblockt. Bislang habe sich noch kein Gast über die Größe der Zimmer oder die Preise beschwert und dass sie daher kein Grund sähen, etwas zu ändern. Als wir unsere Kritik ein wenig mehr ausführen wollten, hat man uns noch ein schönes Leben gewünscht. Sehr professionell... Im Großen und Ganzen ist das Hotel in Ordnung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt aber unserer Ansicht nach nicht und auch die Professionalität des Personals lässt zu wünschen übrig. Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung war das Hotel in Ordnung, ansonsten würde ich eher davon abraten. In Erkner beispielsweise gibt es sehr schöne Ferienwohnungen, die sich für einen Kurzurlaub in der Nähe von Berlin besser...
