Don't lodge here. Me and my fiancée decided to stay after a horrific car crash.I stayed two nights and we decided to have lunch at the restaurant . onb entering my fiancée ordered and five minutes later once I decided what I wanted I ended up having to go to the kitchen to get a waitress ??? my Fiancée got his meal in 5 misns then there was an influx of guests. immediately they closed curtains on m2 of thee windows so it became dark in the restaurant . As she went to draw the third curtain i asked her not to as i would not be able to see my meal . Then she turned on both air conditioners because the new guests that came were fully clothed wearing headscarfes as well so they were understandably hot. However i then became cold butn did not complai i just where my food was to which she replied they are frying it. it took so long my fiancée finished his meal and she served three more tables and each time I asked where my food was (just two pieces of fried chicken by the way), she said im bringing it . 35 minutes later my food came at which point i was fed up i told her i would take it to my room as my partners finished his meal and the whole point was to eat together i was charged 5 ghs to carry my own food. i asked to speak to a manager the a large man shouted what is it. i asked are you the manager and he said yes. i explained why i was not happy and why should I be charged 5ghs when im unhappy and im taking it myself . He did not appologise for the wait and just got defensive saying "do you know it has to be boiled then fried so it takes time. what should i do give you raw food then you will complain" i said no but she could have explained that so i could ask for the food to come together .i was told even though they have room service they do not encourage guests to eat in the room so i have to pay. considering he was the manager and had witnessed half the incident i was expecting him to say out of courtesy you don't have to pay or at least an apology but I got neither .They also refused to refund when I said i did not want it so i paid toeat food that i carried to my room MR KGEE the hotel owner is rude and is happy to sit back while his waitresses are also rude to his guests . the grilled chicken is solid as rock and taeless. i cannot fault the bar boys or lovely woman and young man at the main reception they were nice. bathroom needs renovation large crack in bathtub. unruly guests ruined our last night. overall diguted by managers attitude and they need a new chef food is poor come for...
Read moreDon't Believe the Hype My first stay in Accra, i chose this hotel based on good reviews online. When booking I was promised a specific room. Upon arrival i was given a different room, in which there was no hot water and the shower leaked onto the floor. The next day i was moved to the room previously reserved. Day three the air went out, and there was no hot water again. Although the staff worked to get a electrician out in a timely manner to fix the air, problems continued to happen. Once the air was fixed the lights went out; but a few hours later the lights was fixed. By day four i finally had hot water, lights and air working. On day five i paid for laundry service, and did not recieve my change back due to the fact staff didn't want to give change. Clothes were recieved on day six but several items was missing and not returned till day seven. When going to breakfast, i stopped by the gym and the equipment was very dirty and dusty. Staff did not take pride in cleaning this room at all. On day seven i called downstairs for breakfast, which is free daily if you go to the dinning hall in which i did. However, this particular day the lady delivered breakfast and asked for a fee. On several occasions i had to ask for free wifi. I feel as if the staff sees a foreigner and uses them as an opportunity to make money. On day eight the hotel had a pool party in which they charged. When waiting for a cab to enter the gate so i can leave, i was asked to pay a fee. Naturally i refused as i am a staying guest. Honestly after day five i was couting down my time to leave. There were also several nights i was unable to sleep due to guests or staff arguing in the lobby around 3 or 4am. My stay was for 10 nights and i will never revisit nor recommend this hotel to anyone. Beware if it looks good but the price is low. Trust its not...
