We loved Kiki's Court! It's a 4-6 hour bumpy drive to get there from Accra. While working at the Happy Kids school in the nearby village of Wegbe, we stayed at Kiki's Court and were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it was. The hotel is less than a year old and offers 10 rooms of various sizes. Two rooms are detached from the main building and have serious security for your safety comfort. The doors of the two detached rooms are equipped with multiple steel bolts and the windows have bars. The rooms are large with a bed, side table, lamp, desk, chair and a small wardrobe. There is an adjoining, working bathroom, separated by a door. The downside to these two outer rooms is that they are smack next to the generator which turns on when the power goes out and is very loud, even with noise canceling headphones. Power outages are normal and regular in Hohoe, especially during the rainy season. Bring your own torches or battery operated lanterns and have a charged backup battery for your phone, count on the power going out at least once during your stay.||||We moved into the main building after staying up all night listening to the generator. I was given the largest room at the end of the hall which was clean and spacious and very comfortable. My room had a bed, side table, desk, chair, couch, and small wardrobe. It also had a mini fridge that worked beautifully. Coffee pot and coffee essentials provided. Bars on the windows. Big bathroom with working plumbing. There is an instant hot water heater in the shower, just turn on the red button outside the bathroom and wah-la! Hot water! My colleague had a much smaller neat room, at the opposite end of the hall, for a lower rate. ||||As a guest, you may use the pool which is very clean and refreshing. Drinks by the pool are ok as long as you use plastic cups. There are tables and chairs around the pool and a small grassy area for picnic/outdoor setups. A restaurant and bar are right across the parking lot from the hotel building and adjacent to the pool. The restaurant is a great place to have business meetings, especially in the afternoon when the property is quiet. The kitchen offers a small variety of local dishes, pizzas, rice and chicken meals and sometimes spaghetti. FYI - the house rub for meats -chicken and fish, has a spicy kick to it. Salads are offered but not consistently stocked. The restaurant almost completely ran out of food by the end of our two week stay. We ate at Carlito's Restaurant & Bar when that happened. The free breakfasts at Kiki's are small but good! Fried egg or omelet with veggies, small side salad (when stocked) and a bread bun. Hot coffee or tea offered. Breakfast seemed to be served between 7:30a - 9:30a. ||||The bar is well stocked and didn't run out of beer! The local favorite is Club beer, Kiki's has lots of it. Orijin and Guiness are also offered. There's an assortment of hard liquors offered too like Red Label Jack and vodkas, no tequila. Bottled water was available for 2 Cedi each and sodas sold too. ||||Wifi is available but not dependable. ||||Staff was great! Starting with Evelyn in the office. She was always attentive and welcomed us with a smile every time we saw her. She is the keeper of the keys. Guests cannot take the key with them when they leave the property, you must return your key to Evelyn when you leave the premises. She will be there with a smile to give it back to you when you return. Enoch was very nice and professional, works in the restaurant and is also the DJ. Local music and American hip hop and R&B are on the playlist at Kiki's. When it's been a long hot day, it's nice to unwind with a cold beer and food in the restaurant, while listening to music.||||Security was very nice and made us feel comfortable and safe. Godwin the night time security guard was especially kind and helpful and we felt very secure with him around. Often returning to the hotel at night, it was always nice to see Godwin waiting at the security gate with a smile. The hotel is surrounded by a wall and the gate is manned by a guard 24 hours a day. ||||When you leave Kiki's hotel, to the left is a dirt road running towards the mountain with lush green plants and farm style homes on either side. My colleague went for morning runs down that stretch of road and enjoyed the natural scenery and local morning hustle of people walking to town. To the right, the dirt road leads to the busy center of the village. Little shops selling various goods line the streets while people walk around selling food or wares from their heads. Taxis are easy to catch during the day but are harder to find at night. The broken, partial dirt, partial paved road to Kiki's and throughout the Hohoe area is pot-holed, bumpy and ridiculous. Prepare to dance when you drive through the area and along certain streets. If the community would pave the roads, commerce and commuting would become so much easier, wear and tear on cars would decrease significantly and the danger to pedestrians and animals would lessen greatly. Because the roads are so bad in places, cars swerve every which way to avoid the pot holes, disregarding all rules of traffic, often coming close to hitting pedestrians, goats and sheep walking on the sides of the road. The common courtesy of beeping the horn is what drivers do to warn others they are coming. ||||Don't forget bug spray, the higher the percentage of DEET, the better. And take your malaria pills! I highly recommend staying at Kiki's Court Hotel and enjoying the beauty of the Volta region! Have...

Stay clear from this hotel. It is a cowboy shack. We had such a bad experience. I wished I could write thus review with No Star. Upon arrival, the reception was flooded with bar maids in the door way waiting to escort you to your room. This was very off putting and an eyesore. At check in we were told the price for our booking had changed, bearing in mind the prices changed with every phone call during the booking process. When asked why, we were told that the offer was for the month we booked in. We then explained that the offer then applied because we booked within that period. We however booked for three nights and realised we were only going to stay for two nights and asked for a refund. We were asked to speak to Edem who promised to sort something out. In the end we were told the cashier was off. On one occasion we were charged 5ghc for using an iron, 5ghc to use the microwave and 20ghc for room service . A drop of hand wash liquid in the bathroom dispenser. The toilet roll was enough for one night. Everything was rationed. Our rooms were not cleaned and we were told that we did not request for cleaning. We were told breakfast consisted of bread, oats, milo, tea, egg and sausage, rice and gizzard. We requested for toasted bread but they said there wasn't a toaster. It turned out that they served only rolls. When the bread rolls arrived they had been microwaved to feel fresh but unfortunately they turned rock hard. I requested rice and gizzard and asked for water. Upon leaving they called me back to pay for the water. I was so shocked, I refused to pay. They then said it was ok which was rather ridiculous . How do you get served a meal without ordinary water. No access to TV due to Wi-Fi issues during our stay. Workers had no clue of customer service and had no answers to even the most simple questions. The environment is very deceptive. It is a SCAM and a Rip off. Steer clear from this shack. Don't waste your hard earned cash on False Appearances. Edem has no integrity. HE...

We stopped here for 3 nights, I paid through jumani, when I got there I was asked for 150 ghs per night, so 300 for 2 nights,i paid this, I was then told that because I had booked through jumani travel it was 180 per night, so 360.On the Saturday I asked to book an extra night, not through jumani as I was booking at hotel, I was still charged 180. At breakfast we where told that only one breakfast was free and I would have to pay for one, I told her that when I booked through jumani it clearly asked how many was going to be in the room, I had put 2 and at the bottom it stated breakfast included, not for 1,we where served the breakfast, on the last day we where again asked to pay for the second breakfast, I again refused as I had paid jumani prices. The pool was not cleaned once during my stay. The prices in the menu have risen but the menu has not been changed. On Saturday night I watched lots of customers come in then leave because of this. It is not a bad hotel, staff are very pleasant but I am afraid the management side drastically let's this hotel down. When I return to Hohoe I will use another hotel. Also our aircon was leaking water all over, not that much of a problem, it was cleaned up and then a bucket just placed under it which made a very load noise whenever it was...

Kiki's is an embodiment of great hospitality, excellent ambience and serenity. Located a few meters from town itself, you are spared the noise of traffic and activity from Hohoe township. Great Pizza, tasty jollof and fried rice. Prices are very moderate (compared to other equal-status service providers in and out of town). Waitresses are polite and patient. On my third visit however, a female waiter swapped my friend's order; We had to settle for it. Waitresses have bad days too😉

Don't waste your time reserving this hotel because confirmed booking means nothing to them. A horrendous service and zero empathy from the front office staff, don't let the positive reviews on Google Maps mislead you. Look elsewhere for accommodation if you're visiting Hohoe. They don't even deserve this 1 star rating.

Please anytime you go for excursion at Hohoe I mean to visit the Afadjato mountain or the wli water fall, I think I will recommend this place for you to spend your days and nights because I went round looking for a place but this is the best place in Hohoe so far they have almost everything.
