Best Western Plus Serene Atlantic Hotel — Hotel in Western Region

Update: Terrible. Rita M. at the front desk is a rude, impolite and untruthful. We are regular guests at this hotel, we visit every 2 weeks here for a weekend break as well as bring our foreign guests and she gives us an issue every time we arrive. Today, she LIED to us stating that the hotel was completely booked when we requested her to give us a higher floor room with the pool view. She put us on the 2nd floor at the very end of the hallway. We are loyal customers with Best Western Accra and Atlantic, However now we are sick and tired of this nonsensical behavior Rita has been providing us with. We are paying to relax and enjoy our stay however people like Rita annoy us with petty lies and deceit. We would HIGHLY recommend disciplinary action with Rita to avoid guests being treated unfairly. We will continue to patronize Best Western as our weekend getaway hotel. We recommend guests not to interact with Rita M. at the reception to avoid being disappointed.

Great view. Was having issues with the WiFi but the tech support (James) was understanding and got the issue solved. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel is clearly an old hotel, which is not a bad thing, if only they had taken the maintenance cycles seriously.||The hotel has good infrastructure, it is without a doubt the largest in Takoradi and has a view of the sea, although it does not have access to it, a private golf course separates them. The problem with this hotel is that it is obvious that they have not taken the proper maintenance seriously to preserve the facilities. I had the opportunity to check out all the available rooms, from the cheapest to the most expensive, and everything is the same: hallways in poor condition, unplastered walls, terribly dirty and stained carpets, dirty walls, and a terrible smell of humidity in absolutely all the rooms I visited (9 in total).||The clearest point in favor of this hotel is its staff. They are incredibly good at their job and always very helpful. If they could move this staff to a hotel with better infrastructure, it would certainly be a great hotel.||The hotel has a nice casino, an excellent and complete gym, and a spa that is without a doubt the most terrible I have ever visited in my life: dirty, terrible smell of humidity, and lamentable...

We stayed for 3 nights it was amazing. I didn't believe I was in ghana. It was certainly value for money. When we arrived the reception was very busy the security off loaded our luggage and went out of his way to get 2 trolleys. Upon checking in the reception staff where very friendly and they knew their stuff. At this point I felt really welcome and just couldn't wait to see the rooms after having been on the road the whole day.

The rooms where far bigger than I imagined. Clean bathrooms. Beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful view of the hotel! The food was second to none. It was the change I needed. I ate till I couldn't eat anymore. Compliments to the chefs! The children loved the food as well. The swimming pool was clean and we all enjoyed ourselves.

The staff where very friendly and professional and hard working. Hotel was clean. I've never seen workers more committed to their work than these guys. What more could one ask for when you need a break. Well done guys whatever you are doing it is working. Keep it up and maintain the standards. Hard work pays in more ways than we can imagine. I would definitely recommend this...
