My bf and I stayed here last summer and we we were very disappointed in the service we received from the owner Nico. Not only did the hotel not have a 24-hour reception which made it hard for us to check in as we arrived late at night while their reception was closed leaving us with a worry that we might not be able to check in after a long few flights. Only after knocking on the reception door and looking around for a while could we get our key. I reserved the hotel and requested help to reserve a car in Kefalonia because they actually had that option and agreed to that. I remember requesting the car while we were in Athens. When we got there he said we should get some sleep because it was so late and that he’d help us in the morning. In the morning he said that he tried to get us a car but couldn’t so we’d have to wait a few days. We said that wasn’t possible but he managed to find us one. He told us it was a Peugeot automatic car. We said we were going to go to the nearest village for lunch and he said that was advisable because the car wouldn’t be ready until the afternoon. When the car finally arrived at about 3pm, I quickly learnt that it was a manual car. He asked if you could drive manual but was reluctant because they don’t like to rent to people below 25. He was also shocked when I said I was 25. I rang up the hotel and told them that we couldn’t rent the car and he said he told us it was a manual and I reassured him by saying the only thing he said was the brand name and that it was an automatic car. We then had to go to the airport at our own cost and rent our own car from there as all the nearby car rental agencies either didn’t have availability or an...
Read moreAbsolutely beautiful place. Spotlessly clean, modern, luxury ,peaceful , relaxing, SUPERB! Niko the host is charming and ensures you have the most perfect stay, we can only thank him for giving us a great few days and ensuring we were comfortable and happy at all times. |This place is a fantastic find and we stayed in the ‘jacuzzi’ villa for our first few days on the island before moving on to our villa. The welcome goodies are an unexpected pleasure (especially the local bottle of Robola!) spaghetti and tomato sauce a great touch. The beds were super comfy and loved the crisp white bed linens and fluffy towels. Added luxury to have slipper and robes and the whole design of the villa felt well thought out and of good quality. We added on the daily breakfast and it was a lovely experience to have it delivered by Niko every morning; Greek yogurt and honey as well as fresh pastries, fruit, juices, milk, teas, coffee, cold meats and cheese - everything has been thought of here! We especially enjoyed using the communal pool area. It was very calm and peaceful and just a friendly place to be. Loved it! Thank you so much to Niko who is a credit to this place. He made sure our vill was spotless upon arrival and let us relax in reception ans we were ann hour early and made sure we knew where the local restaurants and supermarket were. He was also very generous on check out allowing us to stay a little longer. There was never any rush or pressure. A special thanks also to the lovely lady on reception and also the housekeeping man (sorry I didn’t catch their names!) We would absolutely stay here again and...
Read moreThank you for an excellent stay at Erolidae Villas in October 2022.
Firstly the site is exceptionally clean, stylish and well presented. It really felt like it was somewhere special.
The villas are fairly spaced out with reasonable sized pools, very comfy sunbeds and outdoor dining tables as well as the lovely interiors. The villas are very accurate to the pictures.
We went as a couple. There was more than enough space. Despite having two bedrooms and two en-suites, if there were four adults, it might have been a tiny bit difficult as the dining table was small (inside) and only the two sunbeds.
The villas were briefly cleaned daily with a refresh of coffee, tea, water and bins taken out. There was one linen change in the week.
Mini toiletries, toilet roll and all the appliances you could need in the kitchen to feed 2-4 people. Note there is no dishwasher so hand washing only. New cloths, dish soap and kitchen towels provided so no need to buy.
The staff were kind, discreet and helpful.
The pools were not heated in the villas or in the shared area. This was a bit bracing in October despite the good weather and may be challenging for the very young or old.
Easy parking at the front of site. Villas go uphill from there. We had a villa in the second row which was very easy to get to with a choice of steps or a slope.
We found the experience excellent value for money and a really special stay. We would love to return...
