We stayed for a week at Hilltop, the host kindly welcomed us even though we arrived in the early hours, the host lives at the resort so is readily available and willing to help you. The location is set on the upper level with views to the south towards the island of Zante, full panoramic views of the open Ionian Sea. However, a busy main road does run close by, used by many vehicles including lorries and coaches which does impact the peaceful environment. Parking is available just off the busy road, in front of the apartments but limited to 4 spaces, it can be a bit tricky parking and pulling out onto the road with the pace of the road users. Either side of the apartments are local private residence, the east side being what look like an old disused garage with various scrapped vehicles to the rear of the property, a bit of an eyesore. The apartments are clean, and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioning unit in our apartment was a little noisy. With the apartment being based on self catering we did find the kitchen ill equipped with a mishmash of utensils and plates/dishes, with little work space to prepare food. We also had a few nights of disturbed sleep as the neighbouring residence kept dogs outside which decided to be more active at night, barking constantly. My opinion is that the resort is dated, and has been/being revamped on a budget. The pool is big enough to accommodate all occupancy requirements, and is kept clean and maintained. It is not a resort I...

The views from the rooms and the pool were exactly as promised. The pool area is very well kept, with a bathroom, shower and changing area right there, so no one needs to go up the stairs to do any of these tasks. There is plenty of room for everyone staying to sit and hang out, even with a full house. As for air-conditioning, each suite had multiple units to accommodate rooms, and all worked amazingly.
As mentioned in other reviews it is not easy to walk to any other locations. That being said, that is the trade-off to having the amount of room this villa has, a private pool, and the view. If you have a car, there is an area for parking (which in Kefalonia is a precious commodity).
Antonios answered all my questions from when I booked my stay online to our last day there and anything we needed (including rides for our large group and options for food delivery) he was happy to help arrange. Highly recommended for large groups or anyone wanting to be away from...
