With a lovely professional ‘glossy’ site it easily makes you think that you’ve got the right place to stay. But, as we experienced, that’s until you arrive there and stay your first night. ||Everything kitsch outdated and of cheap quality to start with. ||A very unpleasant smell coming from…god knows where. ||Rooms small enough and packed with cheap outdated furniture that often makes you walk sideways! ||Old air-condition units that are placed directly above the beds so that you won't use them I presume...possibly for the business to save money on energy (?) and you ending up boiling on your bed. If you use the air condition you will possibly freeze to…pneumonia. If you want to open the doors for some fresh air and a good night’s sleep you can't because there are NO mosquito nets and will possibly spend the nights killing mosquitos or other insects that might sneak in. Either way we ended up seeing the sunrise without sleep tired angry and anxious. ||Breakfast is served in a dark miserable room and its cheap and basic and very boringly the same daily. ||The staff very polite and helpful but with an obvious apologetic expression on their faces when you complain showing that they know we are not the minority in expressing dissatisfaction. The owner, named Leandros as the hotel itself- who we were seeing running the place daily - is usually on the hiding when you look for him, rude and bossy. Claiming around to be the father-in-law of a famous greek basketball player of old times (named such and such...) as if trying to override you or as if this will change anything.. Furthermore, if you insist in your complaint he claims in a bossy manner 'not to insist' because...he is the 'president of the local rooms/ or/ hotels association’..! or something..! I couldn’t work out if this is meant to scare you off or just to get rid of your trying to claim what you are paying for.||I really don't know why there are a few good reviews for this place and it does make me wonder...but our honest opinion to fellow holiday-seekers is to go find something else to stay in the, by all means,...
Read moreA 3+ star hotel but a lutlle expensive. At 150 euro/night/double sea view room i was expecting a better breakfast. Same food for all week: instant coffee from the machine, orange and peach juice from the box with water added, 1 type of scrambled eggs and sometimes boiled eggs. 1 type of olives (green- good , but expected more in Greece), 1 type of ham and 4 types of pastry (not great). Milk and cereals (simple cocoa and corn). The black cherry jam was great, but it was the only one (+ honey). The room is not big, but the balcony fits 4 adults and has a nice view (some trees block it partially. It was clean (towels changed every day or at 2 days) except for a spider web they mised in a corner. The bed was good, but there were 2 separate matresses. We've asked for a late checkout (for one of the rooms) and they said it was fulky booked...even that on booking there were 2 rooms available for that night.. The pool is small and has a strange schedule (at noon it is closed for 3 hours). The beach is like 5 min away and not that great (never went there). Voulitsa Beach is 5 min away with car (really nice beach), and Koumitsa ecocenter beach at 20 min with car (we've seen dolphins there!, a must go beach). Overall it was ok, but definitilly could get same conditions for a...
Read moreChoose another hotel! More than disappointing! We paid for sea view room and on the attached photo you can see what was the equipment inside and the view - super basic like in a pension. The room is very small. Terrible WiFi, almost unusable.|The breakfast is a joke, it’s like you are offered the leftovers of someone’s dinner. Every morning the same, one morning we “find” some fried bread (like French toasts) but looks like it’s just for the first half hour and when something is over they don’t refill it, no COVID precautions - even the forks are touched by everyone, only refilled water - same bottles for all. |The culmination is that in the morning (starting from 7:30) is super noisy and the noise comes from the stuff! The cleaning lady just was entering our room at 9am when we were still in the bed, without waiting even for response. We told the receptionist about this but the cleaning lady kept doing it! It was ridiculous! Simply not posible to take a rest on our vacation. And the result of the “cleaning” was just a fold bedsheet, actually the room was not cleaned. Only the location was good. The pool is ok but it’s in the shadow most of the time. We recommend the village but...
