Hotel Lego — Hotel in Dion - Olympos Municipality

The hotel has a pretty good location in the center of the Platamon. It was advertised that the hotel is about 50 m from the beach, which I think is not quite right. I would say it is 50 m from the Wharf, but it would take a bit more to get to the beach (lets say 100 m till you get to the stony beach). In front of the hotel there is an old railroad (not operational), in a 5 min walk you will get to supermarkets and about 10 min to walk to get to sandy beaches. In front of the hotel you will find a restaurant with live music and a bus stop. ||The room is really small. There is almost nothing fits in the room but the bad. If you are a bit overweight - you will not fit in the room in the space that is left around the bad. Some of the appliances needed some repair (the shower spread water on all the parts not only down, etc.). I had the room on the 3rd floor with the view on the Olympus Mountain and a bit of the see. I think the rooms on the second floor are a bit bigger (not verified), but for sure they have a bigger balcony. We are pretty tall, so we had to bend down if we wanted to stay at the balcony). Some of the rooms ( I think room no 36) had a really small balcony (half of the usual size of the balcony) We had towels and soap in the hotel (our travel agency told us not to expect to have there towels). The room had air conditioning. The rooms seemed to be smoking rooms, where you could smoke (we do not smoke so we never explicitly asked that, but we saw ashtrays in the rooms and balconies)||We had the HB. The breakfast was a bit poor (it is a 2 star hotel, so do not expect too much). We had ham, cheese, boiled eggs, margarine (not butter), olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, chocolate cream, tea coffee, orange juice, cream cheese and 2 types of small croissants, etc. It gets pretty dry if you stay for a week over there. Even though not a big of a choice, I never went hungry from kitchen. We got charged for taking a tea after the hours when the breakfast was over, even though the food and the teapot was still on table in the kitchen. || The dinner was totally different. They served pretty tasty meat, salads and desert I liked most of the dinners. The owner claims to prepare the food only using their own grown food (the owners are locals that inherited the hotel from their grandparents, that is the story I have heard about this hotel in the town)) and to use all the olive oil prepared by the locals. I was disappointed by the lack of seafood prepared by them (it is the seaside, and they should have a lot of see products). ||The owners are great guys. Very open and friendly, eager to talk to you, even though the personnel does not speak English at all, only the administrator and her small daughter at the reception talked English. They served us with a free local vodka once from the bar as aperitif. They always can come up with an advice, and if there is anything that they will not know - they will find out for you. Even though we had to leave the room by noon on the departure day, the owner let us take another shower in the evening, when we supposed to be picked up. ||If you will choose to stay here you will feel the difference between a regular commercial hotel and this family business type hotel. ||We had WiFi in the room, but it was so weak (3rd floor), that I never managed to use in my room. You will get a pretty good WiFi...

Решила написать также своё мнение про отель Lego и г.Platamon в помощь туристам, т.к. когда я ехала ориентировалась только на 2 предыдущих отзыва. ||По поводу завтраков, смены полотенец (каждый день) и белья 2 раза в неделю, а также телевизора моё мнение совпадает с мнением туриста Алексея.||Да, отель неплохой на свои 2 звезды и довольно близко расположен к морю (гавани). от которой можно повернуть направо или налево, пройти ещё 5 минут и окажешься на пляже (песчаном или каменистом).||Но есть несколько нюансов о которых туристам нужно знать!||1. Чайника в номере нет. А кипяток, если и дадут, то в порядке исключения. нужно покупать чай (кипяток + пакетик) за 1,5 Евро. Кофе - 2,5 Евро.||2. Сейфа тоже нет, ни в номере, ни на ресепшен!||3. Гель для душа и шампунь также отсутствют. Выдают только 2 кусочка мыла.||4. Фен есть.||По поводу тишины. В метарх 100 напротив от Lego находится отель, в которм до часу ночи каждый день звучала "живая" музыка. Довольно громко. Наши окна выходили в сторону моря и отеля и я "дежурила" пока не закончится этот концерт. Муж спал! В 150 метрах от Lego (за "поющим отелем") находится православный храм, колокола которого звонят каждое утор сначала 07:30 утра, потом 08:20 и "последний звонок" в 08:30. Видимо всех сонь собирают на службу таким образом. Зато и не "проспите " море. Звон такой, что и "мёртвого разбудит".||Обед (ужин) в гостиннице в 19:30 вечера. Довольно неудобное время. стоимость 10 Евро с человека. Мы нашли ресторан самообслуживания со средней стоимостью обеда 8-8,5 Евро /чел. Называется Las Masas. Выйти из отеля, повернуть направо и идти минут 7 максимум . Кафе-таверна находится по левой стороне улицы. т.е. нужно перейти через пути недействующей ж.д.Рекомнедация гида - тарвена Саропуло. Находится в гавани. А вообще этот посёлок приятно удивил небольшим количеством народа. нигде нет очередей (в кафе), на пляжах полно места! В Этом посёлке в основном дачи и апартаменты греков и нет больших отелей с большим количеством народа.Мы ходили со своим зонтом и подстилкой на каменистый пляж и сидели там одни. "Ближайшие соседи" по пляжу находились в метрах 30-50. На песчаных пляжах народу побольше. Однако места достаточно много и когда бы ты ни пришёл всегда выберешь удобное для себя место. За лежаки-зонты платить не нужно. Но они в аренде у близлежащих кафешек. Если лечь на лежак, то через 1 минуту подойдёт официант. Нужно заказать любой напиток (например, пиво, лимонад или алко- безалкогольный коктейль) и можно лежать на лежаке под зонтиком хоть целый день. Второй заказ делать...
