Frictories station of residency — Hotel in Dirfyon - Messapion Municipality

😊: This is not a 5 star resort, but one of the most enjoyable experiences in my many years of travelling. If you wish to step away from the rat race and relax this could be for you. Exceptional hosts and beautiful views greet you after an amazing hour drive over the mountains from Chalcis (Clalkida). Limnionas is only small with no shops but has 4 tavernas which serve lovely food and great hospitality. The Residency has cooking facilities and a small fridge if you wish to self cater but you will have to bring that with you, this was made clear by our host days before arriving. The main beach is easily accessible but the other beaches along the coast will require driving on narrow dirt roads, well worth the effort. What an amazing find - can't recommend highly enough! After tackling the spectacular (and slightly scary) road down to Limnionas from Psachna, you are rewarded with this little gem. The welcome is extremely warm, and the rooms with their massive balconies are amazing. Best of all was the breakfast - I urge you to have the breakfast. Lots of local produce, self-produced honey and jam, and some home-baked delights, as well as fresh orange juice and Greek yoghurt. Also, check out the local tavernas - they are excellent. Out of season you may need to bring some of your own supplies. Also make sure you have enough fuel in the car - no petrol stations. Absolutely...

Located in one of the most beautiful and pure areas of Greece , Frictories is a place to call home. In front of the sea, with an astonishing view , we enjoyed our most relaxing holidays ever. It's a family business-that doesn't feel like "business" at all, it's more like being invited to a friend's summer house. The friendly family who runs the place is more than welcome to show all the hidden gems of the area (thank you so much for showing us that "Buffalo" beach!)and suggest the best restaurants.
