We chose this hotel to have a calm, romantic and high quality beach experience in Greece whie being in a reasonable distance to Athens in case we wanted to pay the city some visits for its wllknown historical monuments.
We really enjoyed being here, walking the zone and local shopping in the historical city nearby besides having a realiable and relatively reasonably priced rental Car solution arranged by the hotel. So we could go to Athens or anywhere else needed by car during our two weeks stay.
Staff are more than nice and professional, i would say they are lovely and well reliable to be caring and creating a great experience for you.
The generous food and drink hospitality beside the rich gastronomy of greece made us extremely satisfied with it. Almost every meal session I could find something unique and new to try and get to know the region by its culinary asset and yet always regular choices available for those who are not in to risking the food to taste something new!
Please listen to me!! There is soecial honey and figue jam in this region, wnsure to taste it and appreciate it. Let it take a silent and slow journey into your mouth! We even bought few jars to take back with us to Paris.
We demanded a quite room with a beach view and we got it very well and with a great privacy which is very important for us. I even was not happy with some trees infront of the room that I considered them a little noise on my view to the beach, so the reception immediately showed their support on goving other choices to change the room but we finally stayed in the same room as it was positioned perfectly in the corner of building and closest to the beach and far from the regular sounds at the resort.
Due to not having kids, we were not looking for a kid friendly resort at first place but I should admit that this place was kid friendly and I personally would prefer to stay in aresort with least possible kids! And next time I wont be here as one the reasons is surely this :)
The beach was perfectly clean, prepared and well arranged for each person to have his own privacy and standard distance from others, indeed this was a blessing!
The water was very good, clean and safe but don't expect a torquise blue water at all! That is my second reason that I wont come here again as I expect to have way more transparent and blue water to be able to see the surface down below the water.
We enjoyed company of very nice people in the resort so it resulted to gatherings and picnic times in the resort area, accordingly I wish the resort had a professional DJ and mysic experience which is not the case at all!
I used everyday the gym and it was well prepared to let you continue your workouts!
DO NOT LOSE THE CHANCE TO SEE THE SUNSET CLOSE TO THE LIGHTHOUSE! :)
At the end, I am hesitating between 4 or 5 stars to give, so I've gone for 5!
Enjoy your time here if you are there and reading it and if you are reading the review to finalize your decision, I would say worth giving it a try! for...
Read moreSituated just a couple of KM to the North of the port at Eretria, this hotel is a real gem. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel is maintained to a very high standard (impeccable).||While the hotel has very little in the direct vicinity (a big plus if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle) a taxi to-from Eretria is only about 8 euros and a taxi to-from Chalkida cost us around 26 euros.||there is a regular bus stop very close to the hotel which is worth taking. 2 euros will get you to the main bus station in Chalkida however you then need another taxi to the town centre, hence our decision to get a taxi back to the hotel after a long day wandering around the town.||In Eretria there is a local tour company but we had local friends to guide us around the island. Our favourite place was a bay (I think) called Kalamos on the Aegean side of the island.||Coming back to the hotel. We payed a little extra to upgrade to a sea view which was very well worth the extra. There was some late partying one night (wedding) but it wasn't a problem.||The hotel has made a huge investment in the sand beach which is much better than the beaches either side of it which have a silty/muddy edge that is a little unpleasant underfoot.||The water was warm and, although not the clearest, very safe for swimming/snorkeling with some great fish to see and a local group of cormorants making regular stops to dry off / warm up before the venture off on their next fishing trip.||We will definitely return here. Our favourite hotel, so far, in...
Read moreMr. the director|I booked two double rooms at the beginning of January but someone canceled their trip. So we had to take a triple room in a double room we had to pay 375 euros more. Upon arrival in the room, I was very disappointed with the service. Certainly it was quiet (as requested) facing the sea with a shower. But she felt the mould and I was given an extra bed really not comfortable. So very small room. My friends did not want to change rooms but regarding me I was very dissatisfied. I saw that upstairs there should be parental suites available, I thought that by paying 375 euros more I would have had this room I had room 308.|One evening, my friends had an aperitif. A very young barmaid (brunette) spilled the glass on my dress with broken glass. My dress was soiled with alcohol. I didn’t cause a scandal, I told her don’t worry. The barmaid started to cry despite my kindness but did not apologize. The bar manager on the ground floor tells me that my dress will be returned to the dry cleaner. I picked it up the next day. At check-out, I pay my tourist tax and the request to pay 6 euros for the dry cleaning. I didn’t agree because the spilled glass was not my fault. She insisted that I pay. It’s not for the 6 euros but I find that a bit strong and non-commercial from the hotel.|What do you think|otherwise very smiling and friendly servers, hotel staff also, maid as well and a very nice barmaid (blonde)|thank you for your...
