HOTEL HORIZON — Hotel in Ioannina Municipality

This hotel has to be one of my all time favourite places to stay in the world. The views from the hotel rooms are simply stunning, they over look the lake in Ioannina and can often take your breath away. The rooms are well decked out with all the cons, they are spacious, clean and beautifully presented. I would suggest you book one of the top rooms for even better views from the balcony. The owners of this Hotel are extremely welcoming and can provide information required if you fancy taking on any of the out door pursuits on offer such as mountain biking, rafting, Hiking etc. Thy also own the local bar that backs onto the church which offers great bar snacks and reasonably priced drinks.||Great place to stay, lovely family run Hotel, no need to book...

Amazing view of Ioannina city and the lake from our balcony. The room was very spacious, we were 5 to sleep (the parents,2 kids and a baby). Maria and Kostas (the owners) are very friendly and hospitable. We felt like home right away. The children were playing at the lounge like at home. ||They were offering us fruits and cakes and lots of information about places to visit. Only drawback is driving up to the hotel. Horizon is located high above Ionannina overlooking the whole city and the lake - it feels like you are in an airplane. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the owners friendly and helpful. They also had a stack of games in the lobby our children were all to happy to discover.||The only drawback is that driving up to the hotel is difficult - our car had a hard time climbing the steep hairpin turns leading to it.
