We frequently visit Ioannina and due to a last minute trip, we we're out of the usual options. We decided to try La Suite Boutique as it was a 4-star hotel and generally had a set of nice reviews under its belt. We called the hotel the same night we were to get there and the receptionist did an amazing job to find us a room at a great price and also sort us out with self-checkin due to getting there quite late. Unfortunately we did not make the night due to some issues but reached out early in the morning to let them know of the issue we had and that we'd like to reserve the room for the other night. They happily (while we had assumed they would be somewhat disheartened) served us another room with the same price for the night. No extra charges, just the night we stayed for. The overall service couldn't have been better!
Quickly going through the location, it is not near the center so you will have to sort yourself a taxi for movement, or your own vehicle. However, it is not more than 5 minutes away by car from the city center (where you can then easily find cheap parking places). The hotel will also help arrange you a taxi for any of your needs! Location still remains pretty good, with a nice view of the lake, with Ioannina in full glance just across. It is easy to find and positioned exactly on the side of a well-asphalted road, so no trouble reaching the location.
Lastly, the rooms. The rooms were spacious and neatly cleaned. They provided all the amenities you would wish for, along with the option to select your own pillow (that was a first for me!). Sheets were pretty clean as well. The room had that smell of a freshly furnished apartment, giving an ease of mind about how clean and maintained the place was.
The hotel also has a gym, free of charge; spa, masseur service, and a pool, services that we did not unfortunately use do to our short and limited stay.
I would totally recommend it, no ifs and buts. It is a great place which you will...
Read moreI'm not one to be so negative but i wish i had read some more honest reviews before booking. For the price and title of 'boutique' there are a number of things that need to be improved to hold that title. The service was very low standard, with the breakfast attendant being passive aggressive but to be fair to her, she is one of three staff members we saw over the three days and the one we saw the most. We had to call a few times to get hold of someone at the desk which was often empty, especially at night. The room itself was a good size with a great view. The bed and cushions were comfy. We had to unplug the fridge because it was extremely loud (sounded like road works!). We had to listen to our neighbours either side pee and shower right behind our heads! We had noisy kids on one side and neighbours above wearing heels on the wood floor and always dropping things. The sound from the corridors (talking, doors slamming) echoed very loudly. It was not the romantic getaway we were hoping for! We would finally manage to sleep between 12-6am when our neighbours had settled down. We purposefully chose to be out of the town so we could have quite! Cheap 2 in 1 shower gel/shampoo and 1 use of slippers was the only thing provided in the room (most places for half of the price in greece provide something more!). The rooms are outdated and really need some TLC (headboard with peeling fake leather) scratches all over furniture, marks on paint work, dodgy bathroom door handle). For Greek standards the room is on the more expensive side but the amenities, room and hotel doesn't match the standard for the price let alone an intimate boutique. There are plenty of other places to stay for cheaper and...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel 2 nights - 4-6.10.19. We were 5 persons - a couple in 1 room, and 3 big kids in another room. All rooms where on the first floor (the reception is on the 3rd floor), and have the view to the lake and to Ioanina. The hotel is located on the main road, but there is no noise. When we arrived to the hotel I received 1 room for 2 and the other for 3 people. The room for 2 was small, so I asked them to replace it, and received 2 rooms for 3. The room's size is OK. When you empty the bath tub - the water are running out from the drain. They said that they're aware of it. The breakfast is good, and the view from the dining room is nice (you see the pool and the lake in one view). We agreed with the hotel in advance that we'll use their bicycles - they have 3 of them - we took them and ride along the lake (from Ioanina to the south) - this was nice. We had to add air to the bicycles, so we stopped in a gas station on the way to Ioanina. 2 of my kids took body treatments in the spa - they were pleased with it. They have only 1 spa bed. The Jacuzzi in the spa is small - so I didn't use it (my kid used it). The information that we got from the hotel staff about restaurants in the area wasn't exact - 2 restaurants that they recommended in the village below the hotel - were closed. We drove to Ioanina to eat (7 minutes' drive). In general - it's a new and nice small hotel. The prices are not cheap for Greece - we paid 430 Euro for 2 rooms for 2 nights, 5 people (in the weekend, including breakfast). We ordered it directly...
