Located right in the heart of town, a friend and I recently stayed here for one night before moving on and was pleasantly surprised. ||||The owner wasn't there, nor was anyone to check us in, so we asked the lady in the bar over the road if she could help us and wow was she so helpful and lovely, she came out and asked in the pharmacy and shops next to the hotel if they had seen the owner while we waited in reception - even popped back to see us and give us a bottle of water each while we waited - I have to say I was really surprised at the hospitality of this small town!||||The owner turned up soon after we spotted the 'ring this number' sign - well it was in greek and neither of us are any good at that! He was so accommodating and friendly, showing us to a decent sized room which was pretty much a small 1 bed flat. We didn't use the kitchen area, but it all seemed clean and up together.||||The beds were comfy, A/C great, water pressure brilliant - though there wasn't a holder for the shower head in the shower - but that wasn't an issue. Balcony with sea views - we were on the 3rd floor. ||||The place is quiet and we both slept really well. It isn't a 5 star, so don't expect any luxury, but it was clean & had everything we needed and the friendliness of everyone encountered was amazing. We would have been happy to spend a couple more days here. ||||The town itself is has a surprising number of restaurants and bars, a beach area & harbour - in the evenings it gets quite busy with locals, either out for dinner or a stroll in the cooler evening air - apparently this isn't a touristy area, but we were told that lots of Athenians have weekend/beach homes...
Read moreWe stayed here for a couple of nights. The Hotel was exceptionally clean and the rooms are quite big. ||||We had a room on the 3rd floor of the hotel with partial views of the harbour. It had a small balcony, a large bedroom, a smallish bathroom and a good sized separate kitchenette. The decor was simple and modern. Wifi was free and was useable in our room. ||||The room has air conditioning which you do not have to pay extra for and it was both powerful and quiet. Very unusual in our experience in Greece||||Oreoi is not a big tourist area but has a really nice harbour and lots of cafes, bakeries and restaurants all with harbour views but not all take plastic - neither does this hotel - so you will need Euros (There is not an ATM in Oreoi either so if you want more cash, you will have to visit a nearby town)||||Although there are cooking facilities in the kitchenette, the facilities are basic. A hotplate, some crockery (no bowls for cereal) and no kettle. We used a small saucepan for boiling water for coffee. ||||The balcony had a wind down blind which was very useful for keeping in the shade||||The manager could not have been more friendly and we had a great time here||||There is a small supermarket next door and also a pharmacy with an English...
Read moreIt's unbelievable how dirty the hotel room was especially during a Pandemic. I don't think the room was cleaned in between stays. Not only was the sink dirty and had used cups and utensils but the bed was crawling with ants. I know it's a 40 euro hotel but for Christ sake the pillows were different sizes and the blankets had holes in them. The table in the balcony was broken continued to break with every movement I made so I just gave up on it. The balcony has a very loose piece of glass if pushed hard enough like say a child that falls against it, I guarantee they will fall. This hotel is probably good if you want to have a place to crash after a night out drinking and...
