Avra Hotel Karditsa — Hotel in Karditsa Municipality

Sometimes a one-night stay is just a one-night stay... however, we were extremely pleased to discover that the hotel "Avra" in Karditsa, chosen by a sheer chance, could offer the real quality of a 3+ star hotel for the cost of two stars. Very clean, quite modern, with all amenities (including the hair-dryer), a car parking on-site, familiar continental breakfast... only two disappointments: no elevator, and a night guy not speaking English at all.||The Hotel is located on the main artery of Karditsa and very close to its pedestrian area. Also, there is a supermarket in 150 meters from the Hotel - so if you (like us) wish to have something extra on your table (or avoid sitting in a taverna :-), you can easily do so... and the fridge in the room will handle the snack.||We did not have any extra request except two separate beds. We found the third one in the room - and NO extra charge... so, good to know for those who might be traveling through Karditsa with kids. They have such rooms and you won't feel robbed.||We definitely recommend this hotel for families, business people ... your pocket won't be emptied and you will be left with a nice feeling of a good stay...

We visited the city for a marriage. The marrying couple had arranged a room for us at this hotel. When we arrived at the city after a long and tiring trip, we were extremelly surprised to find out, that the hotel had made a mess with the guest list and their bookings and there was no room for us there. The receptionist was so rude and didn't care at all. He just nodded and said it as if it was natural for something like this to happen. We had to call the groom and disturb him at his wedding day, he talked with the receptionist and after a graphic fight he made him to find us a room. Finally the cleaning lady took us and lead us the way to a building 4' away from the hotel, where they had extra rooms. The room turned out to be a really small appartment from the 60's with terrible decoration and disgustingly floors and toilet. We stayed for one night after the wedding took place and left as furious as we came..... For...

Απογοητευτική εμπειρία. Ο ρεσεψιονίστ που μας υποδέχθηκε στις 10 το βράδυ,γιατι ειχαμε ειδοποιήσει για late check in, ήταν ο "ορισμός της αγένειας". Η συμπεριφορά του σε δύο ανθρώπους που έφτασαν κατάκοποι βράδυ ήταν αχαρακτήριστη! Και σαν να μην έφτανε αυτό, προσπάθησε να μας εξαπατήσει, βάζοντάς μας σε άλλου τύπου δωμάτιο, από αυτό που πληρώσαμε, χρησιμοποιώντας τις πιο γελοίες δικαιολογίες που έχω ακούσει. Ηταν άκρως επιθετικίς και κακότροπος, όταν ζήτησα να μου εξηγήσει για ποιόν λόγο, ενώ πλήρωσα τρίκλινο με θέα στην πόλη, έπρεπε να δεχθώ δωμάτιο, με ένα μόνο παράθυρο, που κοίταζε στον φωταγωγό, με θέα έναν τοίχο, ΣΤΟ ΕΝΑ ΜΕΤΡΟ!!! Αφού κατάλαβε ότι δεν ήμουν διατεθιμένος να δεχθώ την κοροϊδία αυτή, και άρχισα να προσπαθώ να επικοινωνήσω με την booking, άλλαξε το "τροπάρι", και ενώ ισχυριζόταν ότι δωμάτιο του τύπου που πλήρωσα δεν υπήρχε διαθέσιμο, ξαφνικά και ώς δια μαγείας υπήρξε! Και ότι ήταν να το πάρει μια "οικογένεια" που περίμενε και δεν είχε φτάσεια ακόμη. Αυτό βέβαια συμβαίνει Παρασκευή βράδυ στις 11 το βράδυ, οπότε τα σχόλια δικά σας....... Το δωμάτιο καθαρό σε "γενικές" γραμμές, αλλά το ντούς που ήθελα να απολαύσω μετά απο το ταξίδι, δεν ήταν σε κατάσταση επιτρεπτή για κεντρικό ξενοδοχείο, πρωτεύουσας νομού. Σκουριασμένες και ημιξεχαρβαλωμένες πόρτες στην ντουζιέρα. Το πρωί της επόμενης μέρας που ήθελα να κάνω ένα μπάνιο πριν αποχωρήσουμε από το δωμάτιο, διαπίστωσα με έκπληξη, (αφού είχα λούσει τα μαλλιά μου) πως το πιστολάκι τών μαλλιών, ήταν μεν στην θέση του, αλλά δεν λειτουργούσε! Με λίγα λόγια, το προτείνω, ΜΟΝΟ, στην περίπτωση που υπάρχει κίνδυνος να κοιμηθείτε στον δρόμο. Αν κι εγώ, θα προτιμούσα τον δρόμο, παρά να πληρώσω ξανά έστω και ένα ευρώ, για να μείνω σε ένα τόσο απαράδεκτο, και με έναν τόσο αντιτουριστικό...
