Melimaria — Hotel in Kassandra Municipality

We booked this property based on the huge garden it has, thinking it would be a total freedom for the kids! The accommodation is located on an uphill road in the nature and with a partial view of the sea, the route is a bit uncomfortable and dark without clear markings for where to go to the accommodation but it is a common thing in Halkidiki. They gave us a room with a balcony so we enjoyed every sunrise and sunset. The room was comfortable, clean and equipped as much as possible for someone to stay comfortably, of course we noticed that some appliances need to be changed because they are broken, for example the toaster or the kettle, the bathroom phone also needed an immediate change because it splashed(they change it After we told them). Another disadvantage is in the shower, it should be a little more convenient to have a suitable support knob for the phone or even better one that can be adjusted up and down im case you have young children it is not convenient, especially while shower them. The other problem was that we didn't have access to the network inside the room and I don't mean only to the router but also to the mobile network, typically this is not a big Deal but if you do some work and need to have access to the internet it is a huge...

This is the perfect place if you want a peaceful holiday, and again enough close to the town of Pefkohori, where you can find many different shops, a promenade, a medical clinic... We were staying in the apartment which opens onto a spacious garden full of olive trees, where our children can freely play. To go to the beach you need a car, ride is a maximum 10 minutes long depending on the selection of the beach, but in the end it is possible to walk to the nearest beach but it is not so close. We always went to beaches that are not nearby, with children it is easier to go by car. The sea is clean, the beaches are sandy, with large shallows ideal for children. The biggest impression was left by the owners of the apartments, which are always available, whatever it takes with a smile is solved. Disliked · The inexistent Wifi - I had to "camp" in front or the back of the house to get internet. Inside the house, there was no reception whatsoever, no Wi-Fi, or anything else. The tap water was salty and no matter how much I showered I still did not feel clean. The squeaky bed made noises every time I turned. Very hard to find a parking spot in the evening without scratching your car under the olive trees. The AC did not quite work and was blasting its warm air directly onto the bed, so we could not sleep with it on, and neither could you cool off the room during the day while you were out, because you are given only one key to the room. Also, starting with 7-8 AM you have to wake up because of rooms are being cleaned, banging mops hitting the rails on the balconies, and shuffling from one floor...
