El Greco Beach Hotel — Hotel in Katerini Municipality

We really liked the customer service of this hotel - a lady called us right after I booked a room, to address all questions I had, on the phone - rare for Greek hotels. I liked the room overlooked the sea (we paid extra for a full sea view). The location of the hotel was excellent - on the beach and very close to the free parking in the end of the village (5 min. walk). And that's about all I liked.||||The room was VERY dirty, beyond description. Sand all over the room, hairs in the bathroom, dust on the table... The bed and mattress were VERY old, I am not sure how the furniture was even usable. The fridge was very noisy - we had to unplug it so we could actually sleep noise-free. The internet on the first floor didn't work - we were lucky that we were on the first floor though because we were able to connect to the wi-fi of the bar below us. There were no mosquito nets which made it almost impossible to sleep due to the little buggers. This was an awful hotel even by...

Don't know where to begin! When we arrived at the hotel there was no front desk. There was a sign saying ask for information the bar on the front. We went to the bar where we aksed the barman and waitress for help. We were told to wait. We waited for 20' next tonthe kitchen of the bar (which smelled terrible, and I had to get out for air). Finally someone arrived and took us to our room. My first impression was that the hotel was dirty, especially the corridors and staircases. We booked a room with a double bed and we were given a room with two single beds. When we complained we were told that they couldn't do anything about it. One of the two beds had no pillow. Also, the air condition did not work. At that point we decided to leave and never return! The only good thing was that they gave us...

My family and I stayed there for 2 nights. We booked a family room on the first floor.There were 2 rooms with 2 balconies good size , simple. The bathroom was tiny and a bit smelly as there was no window. Two A/C's, 2 TVs,a fridge.Right down above there is a cafe - bar Marteca which is great by the way, the noise stays out with soundproofing windows. There is no reception , you have to go inside Marteca to find a person to give you the key or to check out. The owner also own Marteca and sunbeds right in front on the beach which is crowded.
