Orfeas Blue Resort — Hotel in Katerini Municipality

Staff is not exactly helpful, there are several groups of kids/teenagers from Poland and Russia in the hotel. Called the front desk because kids were slamming doors and yelling in the hallways at 2330 hours and were told that it's ok because they're kids and quiet hour is not until midnight. This morning we asked the Polish group coordinator if they heard them the previous night (since this was our first night at this hotel) and they said they've had problems with several Russian groups because since they pay twice what other groups pay, they feel they can do whatever they want. We also asked to have the A/C fixed in a couple of our kids' rooms as well as get a replacement room card because the one we had stopped working and when we went down this last time the lady at the front desk said "Now what?" Mold in the bathroom, pool is only open 10am to 6pm even though it's super hot all day. Rooms are very small, 3 twin size beds in an 8' X 12' room. The beach has only 21 umbrellas with 21rooms per floor. That was an issue! The beach site in front of the hotel was the one with the worsts conditions I have seen in Greece! Organisation also suffers. With two double rooms for my family booked 3 months before check-in, two of us had to sleep for a night in a hotel nearby, because there was only one room available. No "Do not disturb" cards available in the rooms, which leads to other inconveniences. The place is mostly made for children's summer camp. There were many groups of children from Ukraine. Many of them complained to have only one key for a room with up to five of them. The staff speaks Greek, Russian and English. The hotel is in really bad condition - the furniture is old and not maintained properly, moreover the bathroom is tiny and dirty. No sheets were changed, the house keeping happened from time to time. The house keeper either did not knock on the door, or entered immediately after knocking, which was inappropriate. On Fridays there are parties organized in the restaurant of the hotel, and for that reason the guests (all of us families with children) were forced to dine on the tables outside and the noise lasted until midnight - absolutely disrespectful. Most of the staff were friendly although they barely spoke English. Anyone considering the area, please note that there are tons of mosquitos resistant to (at least 3)...
