Holiday Rooms is run by Maria who provided a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival with our two children aged 6 and 8. After Greek coffee and biscuits and a chat about the area we were shown to our studio for four. I would only recommend this arrangement for families with small well-behaved children (like ours!!) as the beds are squished sardine-like together. However, the big compensation was the newly installed shower-room and kitchenette. This was the best equipped studio we have ever stayed in since travelling to Greece 20+ times. It makes such a difference to step into a bathroom that is pristine, fresh smelling and of such high-spec.||The kitchenette has a full sized electric oven and four halogen hob. There is an adequate supply of kitchen utensils but I am sure if you needed something else you would only have to ask Maria and she would oblige.||The beds and furniture are all new and the mattresses were extremely comfortable. The only reason I would not mark sleep quality as completely excellent is because of the fire exit light over the door which provided an orange night-light glow (I know this would not be an issue for most people and it is a legal requirement!) ||One clue to Maria's attention to detail was that each guest had their own coloured towels which makes a change from the usual white/grey towel confusion!||The location is ideal - 300 metres to an excellent sandy beach where there are two tavernas. Both were faultless in their service and their standard of food. In fact, we did not have a duff meal anywhere on the island.||On a practical note: it is worth stocking up with groceries on arrival at the port as there is only a kiosk down the road that sells a small selection of beer, milk, packet...
Read moreStayed here last week with my husband, baby, mum and dad. On our booking it stated 4 adults and a cot for Baby, on arrival we discovered the apartment was tiny, there was one small room with double bed and no room for a cot and a small twin room suitable for two small children, as we had the baby we had to take the double room so my poor parents had the children room, my dad's feet hung over the end of the bed which was most uncomfortable as it had a metal bed end on it. The kitchen was hardly equipped at all, there was no bin, kettle, mircowave, dust pan, brush, cutting knife, cutting board etc I could go on ..... The owner had very little English and you had to search for her when you needed her, there was no explanation were to take rubbish, we just left t at the end of the path. There was no bags left for rubbish so we just used our shopping bags only to discover when we gt back that they had also cleared away our spare empty ones too. A top tip is to go to the supermarkets in the town when you get off of the ferry as there is only a kiosk near to...
