We stayed at this hotel from July 31st to August 5th (although we had prepaid until August 6th). We left early due to a serious safety incident and the hotel's unacceptable handling of the situation.||||This is not a 5-star hotel. At best, it qualifies as a 3+ star property. There was no luggage assistance, and the receptionist was performing all duties — from check-in to showing guests their rooms. Basic hospitality services were simply lacking.||||On our first day, my wife was struck in the head by a flying metal umbrella, dislodged by the wind. She suffered serious head injuries, and the impact was so severe that, had it landed just 2 cm differently, it could have been fatal.||||The hotel’s response was utterly negligent:||||No lifeguard was present.||||No first aid personnel responded.||||No assistance or even concern was shown by the staff.||||We had to travel to a hospital in Athens ourselves for urgent care.||||No one from the hotel ever asked about her condition. Management never followed up. When we raised concerns, the cluster manager replied by email saying “all is excellent” — a shocking and dismissive response.||||We have decided to pursue legal action for the severe negligence and the trauma caused.||||This property should be re-evaluated by state authorities, and have at least two stars removed from its rating. It is incomprehensible that this hotel and One & Only are placed in the same category. If this is 5-star, then One & Only deserves 15 stars.||||Be extremely cautious before choosing this hotel. What you see in marketing is not what you get — and in a real emergency, you are completely...
Read moreWe spent two days at Porto Kea suites and were not satisfied. ||Location of the hotel is nice. Its only about 10 minutes by foot either along the beach or along the road from Corressia, main town and main port of Kea. In Corresio you find nice restaurants, cafes, bars and shops mainly along the main road to the ferry.|The beach, which is only a few meters from the hotel separated by a road is ok, good for a short bath, but not ideal for swimming. its exposed to wind and waves and the water hence slightly murky. |The rooms are ok. Our suite was in the first floor and had a nice terrace, facing the sea. The bed, which was supposed to be a double bed was definitely not ok. It consisted of two mattresses which were far too soft and not fixed together and therefore easily and quickly drifting apart by 30 to 40 centimeters. After we complained on the second day, the hotel fixed the mattresses together with a cover. However, you could still feel the crack between the mattresses and they were still far too soft. |Service was ok but a bit loveless and uncaring. Water in the room was not filled up and when we complained, we got the answer, that we could always call the front desk.|All in all an ok place but, given the price of 500 plus for the night, definitely below...
Read moreA star( and half) has fallen in the Aegean Sea
Having a 5-star rating is not due to a beautiful location, nice rooms, polite staff, a good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice! These are features that many non-5-star hotels have. Having the 5-star ranking and charging almost double compared to others MEANS CUDDLING THE GUEST, MAKING HIM FEEL SPECIAL, all this IS ABSOLUTELY MISSING HERE! In the Aegean some 5 stars have for breakfast a table with 30 different types of Greek oil, others have an attendant who gives you an iced placemat by the pool: You feel UNIQUE! In this hotel there is no bellboy to take your bags and take them along the avenues or the stairs are to your room! On the pool there is no attendant to help you move the chair but only a waiter who asks if he can sell you a drink. There is absolutely nobody on the beach !! The reception closes in the evening and until the morning you are alone and abandoned! In the morning at 5 the water is just warm not HOT! You have to work hard to deserve the star (and a half) DROWNED in...
