I would like to start with positive moments. 1)Staff is friendly, helpful and nice as typically in touristic Greece. Special thanks to Maria for smiling! 2)Rooms are a bit tired but clean anyway. 3)View is nice as announced on photos. ( Tip - ask for highest floor, not even middle floor, the ground floor: you will see cars parking). 4)Fast Internet. 5) Small playground available.||Now the negative. 1)Breakfast could be enriched with some warm dishes like fried eggs, boiled sausages, more food suitable for kids. Breakfast was filling the stomach but boring. Not a big choice. (5 slices of ham, 5 slices of cheese, 5 pieces of bread, 4 eggs, gem, margarine, glass of juice, cup of coffee, figs - per 4 people!!! Buffet would be more nice. Our kids didn't eat anything except hard toast with gem. Coffee was limited, juice too.Eggs were boild not enough and soft. The price they charge is too expensive for this. 2)Road to hotel is very narrow, curvy and sharp. Parking is available but full. 3) Kitchentte is small and not equipped at all with dishes and washing facilities. There are four-six plates, four forks and two spoons, some glasses, may be 3-4 and cups (some were oily and dirty), no friyng pan or casserole, nothing to warm and cook own food or snack, no coffee-maker, NOTHING! So it is compulsory to take their breakfast or to drive to village and have breakfast there. No micro but old oven. Why it is needed if there is no dishes to cook?! 4) Bathroom (small, no shower curtains, floor was wet, slippery and dangerous!), no shampoo, limited toilet paper which became wet (because there is no shower curtain). Ridiculous! Towels were not enough, we were four people, and we had three towels. Well, it is summer and you dry anyway. Beach is not close, driving is needed anyway. ||||In my point of view the hotel is overpriced and over advertised. We had more expectations before getting there. Although people working there were nice, we think we go next time to some other hotel for same price but closer to beach and with swimming pool. Nice view or panorama is nice but not enough in this case! All these moments didn't spoil our life and staying in Evvia anyway. Look positive, bring your casserole, glasses, coffee maker, filters, shampoo, toilet paper, etc., come with mini car, ask to give you room under the roof precisely and you may like it - Panorama hotel! And don't forget to ask Maria to...

Some rooms do not have an umbrella or awning, therefore you cannot eat breakfast on the balcony from the sun. The shutters also make a lot of noise when opening and closing and there were ants inside and outside the room. In addition, they state that the TVs are 32 inch, we only had 26 inch in our room and the WiFi connection did not work at all.||||Staff||||I am very disappointed in them. First of all, when I booked by phone they wanted to give me another room that we had not arranged on. Second of all, they do not refer at all in their hotel description about the very dangerous one kilometre steep road that leads to their hotel so if you have a small car or are an inexperienced driver I suggest that you avoid this hotel completely. The road that leads to the hotel is full of ditches and just before you enter the hotel there are two very dangerous sharp turns. In addition, they did not send me or tell me over the phone about their terms and conditions which I was unaware of completely and that is why I booked for 10 days.If had know about them,I would have booked for five.Even though I was honest and I told the manager on the first day of arrival that I could not stay anymore because I had a phobia of driving up steep roads and that I could not stay in the town anymore because of the aforementioned and below reasons, they did not take this into consideration at all. As a result, I had to pay a penalty because I did not stay all the length of time so I advise you to be very careful when booking with them.||||Platana-Kymi||||The hotel description states that the beach is 300 meters away which is a tiny one full of big rocks on the sides. When it is windy, the beach disappears completely from the waves.||Unfortunately, the council has left the town unattended, there is no pavement for pedestrians to walk on, making it very dangerous to take a stroll, especially at night as it is pitch dark.Disabled people are totally neglected. Unfortunately, there are only three beaches around the area that you have access to, when it is windy you cannot go to the two because they are covered up by the waves. You also have no access to most of the other beaches nearby unless you...
Read moreThere is a panorama indeed, but the price you have to pay in terms of getting up there... well, this is another kettle of fish! No, no kettle in the room, no appliances except a hot plate, on which one can cook nothing, since there are no pots or pans to cook in. We were first given a large room with a spacious balcony - 35, I think- but the next day we were moved to a much smaller one- 34, or the other way round- because Maria, in her broken English, told us a family was coming with kids, so they needed the extra space. Guess what: nobody came, the room stayed empty, but we had to move nevertheless. The AC didn't work in the new room. After the first night we complained; the AC worked for 5 minutes and stopped again. We slept with windows open; a huge cricket came in and started a concert at 5 a.m. We hunted it down- sorry, cricket... The balcony is so cramped that one cannot close the exterior shutters unless one moves the table and chairs from one side to the other of the balcony. We didn't have breakfast there because we noticed what was served- supermarket cold cuts- and it wasn't worth the effort. Caterina smiles a lot, but this is all she can do- no English at all. With Maria gone, communication becomes a huge obstacle, unless someone else around there has some command of English, which is unacceptable in case they want foreign tourists. In the morning the family wake up early and start typical Greek communication: loud and cheerful, enough to wake you up much earlier than you intended... But, after all, why would you stay there: the access road is terrible, very narrow, with sharp bends, steep slopes- it's a nightmare if one drives a rental. The Platana area has nothing to offer, except beautiful views of the Aegean sea and very good, simple sea foods in the restaurants on the waterfront. If one wants beaches, one must travel to find them so, it isn't worth it.Maybe in ten years' time, with decent access, pedestrian sideways and organized beaches it'll...
