We had a truly pleasant and amazing stay at Nevros Hotel and Spa with my wife. The hotel offers amazing view over the lake: the (perfect) place where it is located is a little uphill and this gives theadvantage of a look from high above lets say. ||The scenery is just magnificent, nature there is at its best. We visited the place during autumn, November, which is sth like a travel hack as we came to understand. ||We were stuned with the hotel's stuff accomodation! Everybody is as polite as it gets. And not just in a "professional" way, but pretty warm, too! They did everything in their power to ensure us a pleasant stay. I believe this hotel's manager must be an amazing person, although I didn't meet him in person, since it is clear that the hotels' stuff instructions entail such an above the standards politeness. ||Hotel lobby, leads to hotel's "living room" (or dining hall, more accurate), which was surprisingly beautiful and causing you very warm feelings, especially when outside is cold and rainy. This main restaurant offers great view to the lake through the very large windows that are located there-actually they are not windows since almost all the surface of the external side is made of glass! Amazing view, and this restaraunt is very appealing at night too, although you are not able, obviously, to see anything outside at night.||Breakfast restaurant, also offers great view over the lake and nothing compares to wake up and having your breakfast with such a nice lake view.||They also offer wood for the fireplace without a price-free, as much as you want, which was very nice given the unpleasant surprise we met elsewhere (Zagorochoria). ||We stayed at room 212. Fantastic view over the lake, spacious room. Matress and pillows of premium quality. Exceptional room service. And, I have to say that hotel people are not stingy with heat! Given? Absolutely not! We've been elsewhere where it was not given to have a very warm room, and we did pay more than Nevros Resort. Good thing, must be mentioned.||The only thing that could get a little better at this great place, is the breakfast. I think there could be a little more variety there. However, I have to say that hotel people don't skimp Nutella! In a way that is not common even in very expensive 5 star hotels, where it happens pretty often for Nutella to be done. Not very important? Well, for me it is important!||I would absolutely recommend this hotel to ANYBODY wanting to visit the gorgeous site of lake Plastiras. And I would surely come back and stay...

The real problem is in the rooms and the differing standards. If you are booked in the main building, you should be ok (rooms 100-...). If you are booked in the lower bungalows, you are out of luck... Very damp and humid, access corridors stacked high with paraphernalia, chairs, tables, a mess. Still, should be manageable if you are in the top segment of the lower complex, as they have windows on both sides and can theoretically be ventilated. If you are booked in room 322 or 324 down below, better skip the stay all together. The bathroom is not ventilated, while also built partially below ground. Thus, the entire room constantly reeks of mold and humidity. Drainage siphons were poorly installed and the bathroom was semi-flooded for the duration of our stay. No ventilation, no fan, no air duct, nothing whatsoever. All sorts of mold everywhere. We stayed with our 5-year-old and it was hell on earth. The entire room smelled, the view was blocked by 3 plants set to cover a subterranean water tank right in front of the room entrance. Beyond the tank, there were animals foraging, so the place was full of flies and mosquitoes. We had specifically asked for a room with a view/balcony over the phone. We got the storage-space-turned-room, flies, no view, and the mold came for free with it...
The hotel pool is extra tiny and consequently, quite loud and crowded at all times. They likely utilised the old trick of declaring it as an open water storage tank, to sidestep building permit regulations and the need for a standing lifeguard.
The service provided for what is supposed to be a 4-star hotel was SHAMEFUL!!!
0 stars would be closer...

If looking for relaxing at a beautiful countryside place, this would be a relatively good value for money choice. Recommended for couples and families wishing to spend a few days in a reasonably decent hotel with fascinating lake view. Room: cozy, adequately clean and spacious (for a four membered family), well heated, sufficiently maintained, with fireplace View: rooms, restaurant, (outdoors) swimming pool and other spots of the hotel offer a wonderful view at the lake and surrounding mountain tops Food: decent breakfast, elegant dinner menu, average portions Staff: polite, friendly, helpful Service: most times service is satisfactory but during busy periods, despite the personnel’s eagerness, there may be some deficiencies Location: wonderful landscape, quiet site, convenient distance from most attractions and available activities Access: freely reached by car (when no icy road), parking space available but rather insufficient in busy periods Amenities: very good WiFi coverage Activities: Not much to do within the hotel, not much nightlife in nearby villages but horse-riding, hiking, cycling and more to enjoy in amazing sceneries; reaching closest town takes about an hour or so Tip: Rooms with balcony probably have a better view at the lake than those on the...
