We are currently still enjoying the last days of our vacation in Villa Three and are already planning to return next year. Villa Three is the smallest of the three gorgeous villas but for two adults it is sufficient and very cosy with a lot of privacy. All villas are stunningly designed and built and furnished only with high-end materials and furniture. There are a lot of small details throughout the property that will make you appreciate how much thought was put into the planning and designing.
Kitchen The kitchen in Villa Three is equipped with Bosch appliances and as someone who enjoys cooking up some serious meals, I can truly appreciate how well they work. The island kitchen provides a lot of space and we did actually also use it for our computer/monitor setup so we could work just a little bit while on vacation. There still was enough space for cooking. I loved it! All essential kitchen utensils were provided, as well as two frying pans, two pots and also a decent sized wok. More than sufficient to even prepare elaborate meals! Enough plates and different glassware were also provided. For coffee lovers there is a Nespresso machine and upon arrival, we were provided with an essential package of coffee capsules, local olive oil, vinegar, sugar, bread, a bottle of Greek white wine, a bottle of orange juice, bottles of water, butter and more. So, for the first days you really wouldn't even need to go grocery shopping! All these details are truly appreciated :) Since we drove down from Austria with our car, we did bring quite a lot of essentials with us, but in hindsight, we didn't have to because everything was already prepared for us. Amazing! The only "tool" that would have been nice to have is a lemon press (if you do like to cook a lot or enjoy a cocktail now and then).
There is also a washing machine integrated into the kitchen cabinet. It's a BEKO and works really well. You need to bring your own washing detergent though.
Outdoor The alfresco dining area seemed to have gotten an upgrade since the website photos have been taken because the gazebo now is fully covered and you can sit outside even when it's raining. We loved it! Also the new huge umbrella on the pool deck was appreciated because even in late September the sun was blazing hot and the shade was well needed ;) The pool was very refreshing but still warm enough to swim in even at this time of the year. We also used the Weber grill quite a few times and this is also one of these nice details in a rental that we have learned to appreciate. The outdoor furniture as well is high-quality and especially the two lounge chairs with the fluffy cushions are amazing. I wished the sun loungers would be like those of Villa One and Two though;)
Efi, one of the owners, was very accommodating and helpful from the very beginning and she made sure that we had everything we needed. We communicated via email a couple of times during our stay and it showed that they truly care about their guests. Elena, who was welcoming us upon our arrival, was very nice and explained us everything around the house. She even took the time to draw up some tipps regarding restaurants and beaches to visit on a map and gave us a lot of useful information about the island. Great property management.
The villa was cleaned once per week which we really appreciated (who wants to clean while on vacation ;).
Overall, we had an amazing time on Lefkada and Faos Villas contributed to that a LOT. We love the design of the Villas, the peace and quiet and being close to nature and having such a wonderful view of the ocean. We plan to be back next year and are looking forward to our next vacation at...
Read moreWe stayed at Faos Villas ( villa 2) in August 2024 and couldn’t be more happy about that choice! What a lovely retreat and a wonderful experience. We felt very comfortable and very welcomed from the first second we booked the villa. Both the host-family and the management team are very professional. We had god information about the place and support during the whole process and stay. We were welcomed at the villas with a bunch of pleasant surprises as a gift made of local food products, fruit and fridge full of delicious food. Villa has everything - great views, family friendly pool, comfy outside and inside furniture, grill, outside shower, full equipped kitchen, robot dust cleaner, air conditioning in every room, WiFi, washing machines. The view is beautiful. Location is private and hided, there are 3 villas there but still very private on each of them. We hade small elementories in each bathroom which was really nice, also sleepers and robes for each person! The interior design of the villa is a high-end, and the quality of everything was very good- we had the best rest and sleep on the comfortable beds, the quality of the towels and linen was excellent too. Nice touch is a palaroid camera one can use at the villa to bring the photos home. We had cleaning team and linen change 3 times during 2 weeks of stay, which was absolutely amazing. Julie and Otto ( management team) provided us with all the information about local beaches, food stores, fruit markets, boat rental and you name it! Please visit the nearest village Syvota 10 minutes away. It’s a little far from the most beautiful beaches- but with the car is 45 minutes away. The nearest beach is 15 minutes away and also very good. Boat hire is a must- you’ll never see clear water like this! We also visited great sunset restaurants in the mountains, which is an experience itself. We loved Lefkada, villas and everything, I could go on about our stay for ever) Thank you so much Julie, Otto, Giannis and Efi. We are looking forward to come back to...
Read moreWhat a wonderful villa! It's one of those listings where you think it looks too good to be true, but very much lives up to the expectations. Villa Three was peaceful (the proximity to the road wasn't an issue and was actually really convenient for getting around), exactly as pictured, and incredibly comfortable for our 8 night stay.
The bed was comfortable, blackout shutters throughout (with mosquito/bug net doors, just in case), could have done with a few more hangers and storage, but managed to make it work. The bathroom is really modern as pictured, water pressure and temp was great, it does leak a bit on the floor, but not a big deal. Living space was really comfortable, amazing television, WiFi was okay, and kitchen had everything we needed to cook quite a few meals, including double fridge and Nespresso Machine. Small comment is that they could have included more than one toilet paper/dishwasher tabs/bin liners, for such a premium property, but the supermarket was quite nearby, so was fine.
They've installed a large fixed umbrella in the middle of the deck which is amazing! We worried about the heat during the day, and having that as shelter was brilliant. The Pool is glorious, a great size and peaceful with stunning views. It's not heated, but nice to cool down in.
Elena was a great host, gave us loads of really helpful recommendations, and was always quick to reply if we had any questions.
Overall this is one of the best villas my partner and I have ever stayed in. We'd love to keep it our own little secret, but can't help but recommend to anyone looking for a great trip away....
