Fox Tale Guest House — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

I am writing this review after I finished my second vaction at Fox Tale Guesthouse. Yes, we wnt there for second time because it is such a splanded accomodation. First of all I would like to tell you that the rooms are exectly as in the photos. Modern, stylish, clean, well equiped, yet full of wormth and comfortable. The sheets and towels are impecably white and clean. Also the soundproofing of the house is amazing. However, the most valuable thing of this accomodation is the breathtaking view. In the morning you can drink you coffee overlooking the amazing mountan and sea in the distance. The village is very quiet, situated in the southern part od the island. But the location is not reqlly important since you will need a car to go to the most beautiful beaches on Lefkada, regardless of you location. So, if I could choose for the third time, I would choose the quite villige of Fternon vs the loud Vasiliki or Nidri. Additional bonus: no mosquitos at all. But the highlight of this accomodatin is the owner of Fox Tale, Angeliki. She is such a fascinating lady. She takes care of her guests as if they are part of her family. On our first day, she set down with us and suggested what to visit on Lefkada with such as passion and enthusiasam. Together we have concluded our 8-day agenda. After that, every evening she would send me a watsapp with info for the next day: where to go, what to see, where to eat, where to park. She was so helpful and at our disposal 24/7. This was the best rental experience that we had. Do not get fooled by the number of reviews on Booking, she just started to use this application (has many more positive reviews on other platforms).

The location is amazing, very clean, beautiful view from the balcony, attention to small details and a very nice yard with a lot of decorations. You have your own parking space, but if you find it difficult to park there, you can park near the home on main road.

The host is over calificated, we didn't expect such experience. We felt that we are part of the family, visiting our favorite aunt 🤭. Everyday we received a plan with suggestion of what to visit in Lefkada (what to eat from each restaurant, tips to visit a place, etc.) and the plan was done in such way to visit all places recomanded in the same area so you will not lose time. I recommend to follow the indications received, they very helpful and you won't regret it. Moreover you can have local activities (movie night in yard, local party nearby)

Angeliki is the perfect host! I haven’t had so far this kind of experience: the openness, the kindness and the care she added everyday made our stay extremely enjoyable! She even hosted a cinema night for the guests, and since everyone else was greek, she made sure the subtitles were in Romanian, just for us🤍. Love the little details she adds in everything. Every day she recommended places to see with all the details and so we didn’t have to plan ahead. Also, she did provided some tips and tricks that only locals know. Super close to the accomodation there’s a traditional grill taverna with savurous food. Also, you can do hikes really close and enjoy the calmness of this special rural place.
