Have just returned from 4 nights at this lovely hotel. It was very early season in Limnos so we were the only guests in the hotel. Clean, simple but perfectly comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast, including freshly made omelettes if you wanted them. Plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt and good coffee. Insect netting on the doors and windows and good aircon (it was very warm and needed). Limnos is a lovely island, reminiscent of many other Greek islands but about 15 years ago before mass tourism. We hired a jeep and if you are to get the best out of the island, a jeep (rather than a car) is what you need. It's very easy driving and we found quiet beaches, isolated historical and archeological sites and enjoyed getting to know a lovely place. Myrina as the largest town is so lovely with excellent restaurants, a marina, good supermarkets and bakery with really helpful staff and a castle if you fancy a bit of a climb up. We spent most evenings here enjoying dinners of fresh fish (fabulous grilled octopus) and watching life go by. ||The staff in the hotel were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We were very sad to leave to go back to Athens and then home. We will definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to stay at this...
Read moreStayed about 3 weeks ago. Went with Sunvil. Had a downstairs garden room. Room was fine though my wife thought it a bit dark. The cost of keeping it cool? The patio and garden area was really pleasant. Ideal for a glass of wine. The breakfast were very good and the kitchen staff so helpful. They did eggs each day but if you wanted ,boiled , fried or omelette just ask. The hotel is on the beach as is the beach bar and restaurant. For us it was excellent. The beds are free but polite to buy a drink during your stay which seems more than reasonable. The walk to the village is up hill . We tended to stop a number of times on the way up (20 mins) but an easy 10 mins down.||About 30 min walk into the Myrina ( some up hill but quite easy.) Couldn't fault the hotel or the location. Staff all friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good. Cannot wait to return. Loved the hotel, Myrina ,The Village, even the walk to the little local shop watching the goats as you pass by. I am missing it and cannot...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the hotel, first impressions aren't amazing. You enter via the car park. Once you walk through the gate you are pleased to see beautiful gardens and a real beach front hotel. The rooms are very clean, small but all that you need. If you're big people you may struggle with the shower. The room safe was free as was the efficient air con. Breakfasts were superb. There may have been cooked options but there was plenty of lovely food. The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful and the sunbeds are free. The bar is great and the lunchtime food is excellent. The beach does get very busy with small children and quite noisy. You can walk to other quieter parts of the beach. If you take some decent walking shoes and don't mind a 40 minute walk then I advise walking round the headland to Thanos beach. Beautiful sand and clear waters. Still a few kids but not quite as many. The beaches do get very busy...
