Directly opposite the traditional well know Greek village of Metsovo is the small quaint village of Anilio (Nosun) as the name describes this village does not see any direct sun during the winter months. The La Munte is a lovely hotel in this little village with great views across the valley towards Metsovo. ||The hotel has adequate facilities. Rooms are revamped and modern with all the amenities. Lounge / bar area is kept warm with a constantly burning log fire and a great view of Metsovo. So if you want to avoid the bustle of Metsovo but want to be close enough for a visit this is the perfect place to be. There are 4 family owned taverns in close proximity to feed you the best local meat dishes.||Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful with information about the hotel and local places.||||Breakfast is more than adequate with something for everyone. Coffee is great but the juice terrible.||||I only have two recommendations for management.||||A snack in the evenings other that toast would be great. Perhaps they could reach an agreement with one of the local taverns to offer some items on their menu in the hotel lounge / bar to the hotel guests as "take away".||||The parking area requires some lines to be painted for guidance as patrons park in every direction the feel fit and this drastically reduces the number of vehicles that could park here.||||||We had a great stay and...
Read moreI found this hotel through the net.. I just wanted a place to relax for the weekend. I must admit that I found the perfect place to do that. The hotel is completely new, great personnel, good breakfast, good beds, big rooms and really clean. Mini bars, free wifi, flat TV and nice balconies with shockingly beautiful views of Metsovo. The place was half empty because it was of season (it has a ski center in the winter) so it was totally quiet. Ofc the hotel is not poorely done so it's sound proof.||The hotel is situated on village, Anilio, mirroring Metsovo on the other side of a valley. It's accessible by the modern superfast highway Egnatia. The only negative thing is the fact that the village roads are really noarrow and the parking space of the hotel (which is free) is limited to a few cars and is not enough if the hotel is full. But this for me was minor compared to my overall experience.||Also I adored the building itself, made of stone following the local architecture and the fact that you can buy local honey from the reception, one of the best products of the area!||I really recommend it. It's also a proof that Greece is not only a sea resort but a mountainous...
Read moreWe stayed there in October during a road trip. It is located in Anilio village, just opposite Metsovo (touristy&loud but very beautiful). We wanted a quiet place close enough to Metsovo and we got it! Plus perfect views to Metsovo (like a picture!!!) day&night from both balcony and bed at the comfy room. Simple room but with all the amenities required, warm, spotless clean, large bathroom...||Excellent service with a smile (young people), nice bar-cafe'-living room with a working fireplace, room service at low prices, ie quality gin&tonic with "meze" (small plate) at 5 euros. The hotel has a traditional architecture but it is modern inside. ||Breakfast is OK, it could be better. They should serve different kinds of coffee, at least Greek coffee in Greece!!! They only serve french coffee (or Lipton tea) included. Every other coffee you have to pay extra, not good! That's my only complaint. Plus the parking space is limited, but in Metsovo it's much much worse...||And it's a value for money hotel! We got the superior double room with view at 52 euros (breakfast incl.). It can be 60 or 70 tops and still worth it. In Metsovo is 80-100 euros for similar...
