Panstel Bungalows — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

By far the best hosts we met so far. The bungalows are well thought through and everything seems pretty new. It has everything you need for daily life, even a small kitchen to cook. However for long stay it's truly small. The good part is, it's in the middle of nature. The bad part, in the night there are many insects, so get yourself a spray.

For me the best part was the sky at night, you can see hundreds of stars even the Milky Way is visible.

The badest part for us was the location. When you want pure nature and a peaceful place its perfect. But if you want to explore Crete like we wandet its pretty pretty bad. You have to drive at least 2-3h every day to any Citys like Chania. Until you reach any main road you had to go through dirt and stone ways that are critical for rental cars. Also to drive home at night its pretty scary in the mountains, there is no light you don't see the road beside the car light, and there are no crash barrier that safes you from falling down. So check that first.

Beside thanks to the great hosts! I have to give you five stars even tho the location...

Stayed here for 3 nights in late August 23. The weather was still hot (38 degrees Celsius maximum), but the room stayed cold after turning on the aircon in the evening. Otherwise just pop into the bathtub ;). We particularly enjoyed the surrounding, it almost felt like you are alone there. There is a beach just 10 mins walk down the hill. Some nice tavernas nearby - 10-15 mins driving from the accomodation. We could see a lot of stars at night. Oh, we also spotted an Eurasian vulture during one of the afternoon. The hosts are very friendly and genuine people. Complimentary homemade fig jam (which we couldn’t find it elsewhere), raki, rusks and homemade...

Man kommt an diesem abgelegenen und wunderschönen Ort an und bestaunt einfach nur die tolle Umgebung und die schönen Bungalows! Es sind zwar leider 5, die sehr nah aneinander sind, aber man hat dennoch nicht das Gefühl keine Privatsphäre zu haben. Innen sind einfach tolle, passende Farben, die eine sehr gemütliche Atmosphäre versprechen. Das Bett auf Stein ist eine tolle Idee und echt Mal etwas anderes, als man es gewohnt ist (dennoch sehr gemütlich).

Insgesamt ist es etwas klein, aber das ist ja auch gewollt - kompakt, unkompliziert und trotzdem alles, was man braucht. W-Lan funktioniert, Klima-Anlage auch und die Dusche ist groß genug für 2☺️

Man kommt sehr schnell an tolle, kleine und nicht überfüllte Strände (10 Minuten Fußweg durch die Natur). Es ist sehr steinig drum herum, was man im Auto auch merkt, aber es ist dennoch gut machbar, hierher zu fahren.

Der Service ist ebenfalls top! Ein sehr netter Host hat uns hier empfangen, der täglich herkommt, putzt und nach dem Rechten sieht. Er hat uns auch Kaktus-Früchte und Trauben gebracht:)

Kühlschrank, Toilette, ein kleiner Tisch, Kaffeemaschine, Zucker, Kaffee, Besteck, Geschirr, Wasserkocher, Toaster etc. ist alles da. Allerdings keine Spülmaschine

Alles in allem kann man hier echt einen sehr tollen Urlaub haben und wir haben unsere Flitterwochen hier sehr genossen. Danke an den Host und die nette griechische, kretische Kultur!
