V&C Paradise Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Agios Vasileios

What a tranquil place to recharge. Quite literally you have the apartments, Taverna then Beach with the beach being the furthest away at 50 meters if that.

The apartments have a very modern interior, lots of hanging space for clothes & storage to put cases etc. Enough sockets to charge devices and a basic kitchenette with 2 hobs. Plenty of kitchen utensils too.

Kettle in the rooms and a decent enough hairdryer in the bathroom.

Ample towels are also provided. Beds are very comfortable & good blackout blinds on the windows. The rooms are equipped with a safe, not that we felt the need to use it.

Rooms are clean to a good standard & all rooms have air conditioning

We stayed in Room 4 & room 5 where my parents stayed is equally as nice but with a slightly different layout.

Rooms are spacious & also has a small dinning table. Outside on terrace there is a clothes horse & a small table and a few sturdy chairs.

The Taverna appears to be run by George & the Apartments by his Mum.

Very reasonable in price for both the rooms & the food & drinks at the taverna. Not one of us had a bad meal there throughout our stay.

George greeted us on arrival & explained everything we might need to know.

Due to the quite steep gravel driveway/track If you have mobility issues that could be an issue for you.

To put it in a few words it was amazing. If you are looking for a place to rest your body and ease your mind this is the place for you. It's near the sea and at the beach you can find some private umbrellas and sunbeds that are owned by the apartment and are free to use.

Furthermore the food at the Taverna was delicious and fresh. The prices were reasonable and the portions were big!!

I cannot wait to visit the establishment again next year!! This time...

Absolute magic! George and his mother are unbelievable hosts - generous and accommodating.

Highlights: 1) Location - off the main roads and hustle of Crete, this side of the island is highly recommended for those that don’t want crowded beaches. 2) The beach is 20 metres from our apartment!
