Very very poor.
I have been visiting Greece since 1989 and have probably made over forty visits and this is the worst experience I have had in those thirty three years.
No menus were available so we had to try and ascertain from the Greek lady running the establishment, who spoke with a mouth full of food, what was available for breakfast/brunch. After establishing most things were not available we ordered two cheese omelettes, some bread, a Nescafé and an Americano with milk.
The omelettes were okay and the coffee fine but when I went into the taverna to pay the Greek lady wanted 21 Euros and fifty cents!
I asked the lady to check the bill as it seemed very high to me and she attempted to go through it and insisted the price was correct. I told the lady the amount she wanted to charge was too high and not in line with other charges made for breakfasts by other establishments in Rodakino. I asked her if she would be prepared to reconsider the bill but she refused. I told her I was not prepared to pay 21.5 Euros for what we had been served and she told me to leave which I did, leaving what I thought the meal was worth on our table.

We ate and drank with astonished satisfaction, asked for more and left with the sense of revelation and discovery, only to come back again for more. The taste of every single dish (and you need no menu, just ask what's available this day) was superb. All local, organic rich in flavour ingredients combined with years of experience running the place makes this an absolute must for food lovers. The owner can also tell a story, offer a cactus fruit he keeps on peeling at the moment or a glass of 45 years old wine that's only slightly older than the restaurant itself. Unforgettable experience and the best wild goat...
Read moreThis is the best place we have eaten on Crete, and we've travelled quite a lot. The restaurant is run by a local couple who are very friendly and helpful. Most of the ingrediends are their own produce including the olives, wine, meat and the catch (the owner is fishing himself). It is worth to go there and try how the dishes should actually taste like. Please note that there is no printed menu as everything depends on what is available on the day. We have tried the octopuss, squid, mousakka, stuffed tomatoes, aubergine sald, greek salad. Everything was...
