Casa Serenity — Hotel in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

DO NOT BOOK HOUSE- READ FIRST. I booked this house for my family and I in November 2024, we had it booked for 10 days and had to leave early for multiple reasons included lack of basic utilities and sanitation concerns. The house smelled so badly of sewage that there were days that we couldn’t even cook inside as it was nauseating. The water was BROWN and smelled so strongly of sewage that most days my daughter wouldn’t bathe in it. My husband, newborn and I all got rashes from the water. To top it off we had no hot water for most of our stay. Ultilities: we had periods with no power almost everyday during our stay and every time we complained, Elena told us to just be patient, offering no other solutions. Leaving us stranded with no power or heat while we were there with a toddler and newborn. The house had mold in both bathrooms and the kitchen, even on the utensils and other kitchen items. We found a box in the kitchen of disgusting very personal items (umbilical cord, baby information, used razors and used douche) that should never have been left in an Airbnb. We found spare keys placed around the outside of the home and felt VERY unsafe which ultimately caused us to leave early. We had so many issues with basic hygiene and standards of living that Airbnb informed me they were given the host stern warnings and a potential permanent ban. After we left, the host and filed an almost $2000 false complaint against my family, all damage that we provided proof we did not cause. She made vexatious claims that we broke blinds (that were taped up when we arrived), damaged the washer and the kettle and the fridge- all of which was damaged when we arrived. The host is a despicable, lying woman that used Airbnb as a way to fix the damages in her own home and try to have my family pay for it. Learn from my family’s personal experience and protect yourself against this home and terrible host. The house is also in such a poor location that it is completely inaccessible without a vehicle, and it’s an average of 5 degrees colder than anywhere else on the island. Amazing villa with a private pool and a nice view of the greenery of Corfu. Close to the nicest beaches of the island and 10min away from Corfu town. It's like staying in a 5 star hotel but with a lot of privacy! Very clean house, with barbeque, central heating and air-condition in every room, free parking. We have had an amazing experience there.
