We stayed at Ephira Hotel, Corinth, on the night of January 1st, 2020. Its location is very central, some minutes away on foot from Corinth's main square. Dimitri, the receptionist, welcomed us. He was incredibly friendly, charming, polite and helpful, probably the best, most professional receptionist I have ever met. When I made the reservation at this hotel, well in advance, I had asked him to reserve two very quite rooms for us; he managed to find them and we actually slept better that night than anywhere else in Greece. The following day he was anxious to know whether we had spent a good night. |On January 2 he did everything he could to find a car for us, as it was a holiday in Greece and we couldn't find any rent-a-car shops open; he phoned absolutely every single place in the city but to no avail. But he told us how to visit Ancient Corinth and the Isthmus by taxi and by public transport; thanks to him that day was amazing.|The breakfast was mainly a typical Greek one. Had a room on the noisy street side and every interior sound from the hallway comes through the door too. The stale smells was the worst thing about it. The rooms smelled of smoking, which was no surprise given the presence of ashtrays. The smell in the stairs down to the breakfast and lobby were even stronger and unpleasant in a musty, midlew sort of way. ||Not sure why they show beach umbrellas since the beach is not nearby. Stay in another...
Read moreMy husband & I stayed here over a month during our holiday..It was central & walking distance to the centre, beach, taverns & shops. The receptionists Dimitri, Elenor & Pericles (sibethero) & owners that we met became like family to us..what can I say about the owner John & his wife Tenia..what an amazing couple of owners. I would recommend anyone wanting a clean & tidy place to stay at..we stayed in very different hotels in the 3 months we were in Greece & the bed & amenities were excellent! We had a front balcony overlooking the buzz of Corinth. Last but not least as I was missing all 7 of our dogs Marco the hotel mascot made up for the loss. Thank you to everyone involved I won’t forget any of...
