This is a beautiful family business, built within a picturesque village which I absolutely adored. The stone made rooms in combination with the wood elements, offer a very traditional touch which is hard not to appreciate. Even though we booked a double room (aktaia) and it wasn't as big as someone would like, for me and my husband, it had an ideal size, good size fridge, a small kitchenete and nice bathroom even with a bathtub. Needless to say everything was spotless, extremely clean everywhere and the towels smelled divine! Breakfast seemed small but honestly it had all the essential someone would ask for breakfast and everything was very fresh. The dessert of the day, milkpie or orange pie was out of this world, delicious & home made which is very important! There is also a cove where you can go for swimming if you follow some steps down from the rooms with very clean sea water. Staying in this hotel you will find extraordinary mountain/sea views, tranquility and peace. The swimming pool had an amazing view and there was always room for everyone. Maybe the fact we stayed middle September played its part but regardless, I would come back to this place without a second thought. Good value for money, beautiful cosy balcony where we spent our nights watching the full moon surrounded by greenery. We felt we had the privacy we needed and the time to relax and enjoy ourselves. 10/10 for us, really pleased with our stay and hospitality of ''En Plo'', wish more places operated like this one. If you are looking for a place to stay in Mani and you are unfamiliar with the area, chose ''En Plo'' suites at Oitylo village, you will not regret! Its location is also convenient as you can explore south/east/west mani only within a short drive. Parking is also available on site and in...
Read moreHotel with a pool, friendly staff, sea access, & nice breakfast, though adjoining rooms are limited
The hotel is built on a hillside, with several small multi-story buildings. The rooms, called “suites,” include a kitchenette. The hotel features a beautiful pool with a nice view, close to the bar, and bath towels are provided. The bar is pleasant, also offering a lovely view. Breakfast is varied and meets expectations, with a delicious gluten-free cake available on request (ask in advance). The rooms are spacious and comfortable, Parking is easy, but a car is necessary to explore the area or reach restaurants along the bay (two are about 10 minutes’ walk but were not tried). An excellent taverna, Karavopetra, is five minutes away by car. There is also a small, secure sea access just 10 meters from the hotel entrance, with a ladder between rocks, suitable for children. The staff is welcoming and friendly.
The rooms furnished in a rustic style, in contrast to the more stylized designs offered by some other hotels in Greece. Traveling with our three children over 10 years old, we requested adjoining rooms, but this was not possible as there is only one double room on the ground floor. Our children were therefore accommodated in another building, accessible via a separate staircase. Initially, this seemed inconvenient, but we managed fine. Lack of curtains on some windows allows early morning light to...
Read morewhat we really liked:||- very clean hotel (the rooms, the pool area and generally all the hotel)||- very nice view (even from the pool area that is the lowest point of the hotel, the view of the bay is great)||- amazing staff (main receptionist Roula is an amazing host, the 2 girls and the guy working breakfast and pool bar were really polite and happy to make your vacation great) Thank you guys for the great stay. ||||what we did not like:||- IMPORTANT: THE HOTEL HAS SO MANY STAIRS. We had booked a loft with sea view and in order to get there we needed to climb 52 (yes I counted them) steps. With a pregnant wife, this was a huge problem and the hotel was full so they could not move us to another room. There were 2 other lofts that had even more steps to get there. ||- the guy working the reception in the evening is really bad. He has no clue about anything. It is a shame that he destroys the image of the rest of the staff that are amazing. To be more specific, the guy does not know where things are (we asked for toilet paper and he had to ask the barman where they keep the toilet papers). Also, we wanted to book for extra services and we wrote down what we wanted on a paper for him. he still managed to...
