I am business traveler who travels around 100 days per year, I have been traveling to Samos Island for the last 10 years and visiting Ino Village hotel since 2017…
Unfortunately my most recent stay (and most probably my last) was really frustrating! I arrived at 16:00 noon during a heatwave and the agent at the reception was a trainee who was left alone without a supervisor, during my check in I asked politely if the next day it would be possible to check out one hour later (12:00 instead of 11:00) which the agent at the reception confirmed it would be ok. When I checked in at my room and got comfortable because I had a really early start (5:00) and I was really tired the agent knocked at my door and I had to get dressed again and open the door, the she told me that it would not be possible to have the 1 hour extension. I asked if it would be possible to change room and get one with the possibility of the one hour extension, the agent said that she would check… after 15 minutes she told me that she spoke with her manager and if they change me to another room and extend my stay for hour they would charge me another half day,€60 on top of the €130, I already paid!!!
Then I asked very politely if her manager could give me call… another 30 minutes passed and no response! When I called the agent why the manager haven’t called me she replied with a very rude tone that the manager is not be annoyed for such reasons and she would have to deal with any requests in her own… after 15 more minutes on the phone back and forth I decided to get dressed again and visit the reception desk and made big fuss about how inadequate the trainee agent was and why it is totally unprofessional to leave her without a supervisor…
After another 15 minutes or so of heated discussion I gave her my card and she charged me €60 for the 1 hour extension. Then the owner called me and asked me what was the problem when I explained for another 15 minutes she asked sorry and she said that she would reimburse the €60…
Next morning during the check out the manager and the trainee was there, the manager apologized and when I told her that is totally unprofessional to leave a trainee unsupervised and without a communication channel with her she told me that the owner forbids that !!!!!
Long story short at the end of the day the owner never told the manager about the €60 reimbursement for the 1 hour extension !!! Total lack of communication and an overall unprofessional approach in order to overcharge for 1 hour extension… THEY WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER CENT FROM ME OR FROM SOMONE ON MY COMPANY AND ANYONE I KNOW...
Read moreGreat stuff, OK accommodation The staff was very friendly.. That is the only reason I rated this hotel 4 stars. Especially Hope (Elpizo) was extremely helpful. She is the best thing in the hotel. Always helpful and funny. Our room was renovated and large enough. Breakfast was good for a 3 star hotel. The hotel location is up hill, 30 mins walk away from the center. Plus there are many stairs at the hotel. If you don't have a car it's very hard to make it to your room. Our bed sheet was stained and the fridge was broken. Even though we talked to the manager(or owner) he blamed me for not talking to him earlier (I had talked to the staff earlier when he wasn't around) but he didn't do anything the day after to fix these issues.. The bathroom is very uncomfortable if you are sharing the room, basically there is no bathroom door, it's just a glass that separates the room and toilet. The shower also was uncomfortable..The room had a nice balcony with seaview but it was just above the dining area, it got noisy most of the time and there was no separation from the next room's balcony...
Read moreWe stayed at the Ino Village hotel for two weeks and enjoyed it very much.||The hotel itself, the rooms, the food, the staff, everything was just perfect!||The hotel is located out of Samos town on a hill with wonderful views to Samos bay. It has a private parking that is very convenient as the most guests arrive by car. To reach Samos town car is a must as there are no pedestrian paths and the road leading to the town is always busy with traffic. Also you need a car to go to the beaches if you like sea more than a pool.||The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. The balcony was nice, with chairs, table and with beautiful view to the Samos bay. Unfortunately we almost did not use it as there were very hot days in Samos. ||The breakfast was very good. There was a choice of pies, cheese, ham, fruits, vegetables, etc.||The staff were very friendly and kind, ready to help you at any time. ||However WI FI connection and water supply in the bathroom could be better.|||Definitely coming...
