Blue Beach — Hotel in Municipality of Ermionida

We found Blue Beach via Booking.com. This small family-run hotel has few trimmings, but all you could ask for if you're looking for a quiet hotel near the sea with a glorious expanse of beach almost to yourself! Note: the beach shelves quite steeply into the sea so it might not be the ideal location for families with toddlers, even though locals seem to take their small children there! The rooms are not big, but you probably won't be spending much time in them. But they are all air-conditioned, and shutters keep out the sun during the day. Our towels and sheets were changed every two days! You couldn't ask for a better sea view, and the beach is about a minutes' walk across the garden. Sun beds are free to use for hotel guests. This is not a private beach as such, but seems to attract relatively few tourists. We ate the generous breakfast on the shady terrace overlooking the sea. There is no buffet but we were satisfied with what was on offer. One can choose how the eggs are cooked at least. The hosts will also cook dinner on request...albeit a limited menu due to lack of demand. We didn't take up the offer, but I can imagine the grilled local sardines or grilled pork or lamb would have been very good. The family running this hotel are very friendly and have all the tips and advice about the area one could ask for. The water from the taps in the rooms is not drinkable, but one is provided with a plentiful supply of bottled water. The tap/shower water tastes rather salty, so there is little danger of drinking it by mistake! All in all, this was a lovely week and it was hard to leave. The hotel is in a great spot.||The hotel itself is very simple and perhaps one might say too simple. Minimum Room Furniture: cabinet without shelves. Dresser with a lamp only once. What is actually defined in the kitchenette sink, countertop with two burners of an electric stove and refrigerator. Very small cabinet over the sink. There is no room to store various products kitchen. No tools to heat or cook food and no food cutlery.||When we entered the room we were shocked! Only after we spoke with who runs the hotel where we got a small dresser bed, 2 plates, cups and utensils to boil water for tea.||It should be noted the very warm attitude and attention we received from those who run the hotel.
