I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel O Mikros Kosmos in Crete for a few days in September, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Nestled among beautiful pomegranate trees and accompanied by the friendly local cats, the hotel offers a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere that feels like a hidden gem.

The pool was extraordinary—truly luxurious—and a perfect spot to unwind. Whether lounging in the sun or taking a refreshing dip, it was a highlight of our stay.

The food at the hotel was exceptional, with every local dish incredibly well-cooked and thoughtfully prepared. It was evident that great care went into sourcing ingredients and crafting flavors that celebrate the region’s culinary heritage.

What truly made our experience special were the owners, Martin and Madeleine. They were wonderful, sweet, and incredibly kind. It was fun to talk to them, and they were always available to help with any questions we had.

O Mikros Kosmos is one of the finest boutique hotels we've ever stayed in. With only 12 rooms, it offers a peaceful, intimate atmosphere, surrounded by nature and perfect for adults seeking true relaxation.

The design is modern and tasteful, with large windows that bring in beautiful natural light. While it adds to the aesthetic, it’s worth noting that sometimes you’ll want to draw the curtains for more privacy.

Cleanliness is truly exceptional – beyond anything we've experienced elsewhere. Every corner is spotless, and the attention to detail is remarkable.

The owners and staff are warm, attentive, and always available. Their care and dedication to hospitality is evident in every aspect of the stay.

The pool is perfect – crystal clear with an ideal water temperature. Breakfast is modest but fresh, tasty, and well-suited to a small, high-quality hotel.

The location is quiet and pastoral – if you're looking for action or nightlife, this isn't the place. But if you’re after calm and comfort, it’s ideal. The beach and restaurants in Matala are about a 10-minute drive away.

We had a wonderful stay at O Mikros Kosmos in Crete. The owners, Martin and Madeleine, were incredibly welcoming, relaxed, and highly professional. The cottages were luxurious with wonderfully comfortable beds. You hardly need to close the curtains, as the houses are designed to ensure complete privacy. With the curtains open, it felt as if we were sleeping under the stars—truly magical.||The saltwater pool was refreshingly cool and perfectly clean, just like the entire property. Breakfast was exceptional and a real highlight. Unfortunately, the chef was away during our stay, so we couldn’t enjoy the Greek dinners every evening—but that only gives us a reason to return!||The atmosphere throughout was fantastic—serene, calm, and spotlessly maintained. The herb garden was impressive, and the olive trees simply beautiful. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into the design and layout of this hotel.
