Gartagani Guesthouse — Hotel in Municipality of Gortynia

Nice and friendly owner. We only give 3 stars because of the Information. It says, the room has a safe, a toilet and a terracce. No information that it is only for all rooms together. Other rooms have a balcony. Here is it private. But no information that it is not a private terracce.

We wanted to enjoy the view from our room. The owner told us, he does not especially give this information, so we have to know, that it is not private. He also give not the information for the toilet. But this is also private and not for all rooms. It is a typical mistake in the discription. Only the 2 rooms with a balcony are half private. It is 1 big balcony with no wall between the 2 rooms. Breakfast was good. The bathroom was a bit smelly. The safe was not fixed...

The owners mum was lovely. The room was basic, but fine. View was its best asset. We were on a walking trip, and each accommodation supplied a packed lunch. After we had eaten breakfast and were ready to go, we asked for our packed lunch where the mother passed the phone over to us to speak to her son/owner, who said that it was part of the breakfast. The guest house has five rooms. On the first level, there are two and the second level there are three. Both floors are set up the same. The rooms are like hotel rooms, bed, bathroom…. And then there is a shared common area.

The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean.

There is a lovely outside seating area.

Breakfast was sufficient. He serves you so anything you don’t eat, he will pack for your lunch. Plays great music at breakfast.
