Grand Vytina — Hotel in Municipality of Gortynia

We had a great stay at the Grand Vytina. Dina, the owner, was able to provide us with two connected rooms -- which gave our sons (9 and 12) plenty of space. The rooms were clean, and the exposed beams and stone created a charming feel that fit with the surrounding mountains. The view out our windows was the stunning sunrise over the mountains.

The daily breakfast buffet included a number of home made items including spanakopita, tyropita, and apple cake. There were certainly other items as well such as eggs, fresh bread, and cereal.

The main square for Vytina is a short walk from the hotel.

The room's view was astonishing: the mountain of Mainalo! Very spacious room, unbelievably romantic & elegant. When we arrived the room was extremely cold & it finally got warm after 5 hours. The lobby was very small since it was breakfast room, too. In my opinion the extra charge for coffee other than filter was inexcusable.You cannot pay 140 euro/night & pay for your morning coffee. I loved the location with the village within an easy walking distance and central to exploring nearby villages. It was fantastic value-for-money in the summer! Rooms are very spacious, have great views of the mountain and a quiet location. Spacious, comfortable bathrooms and fabulour mattress! The staff are great, very helpful and accommodating and it was great to relax with a drink in the lounge in the evening.
