Kalimera Karpathos — Hotel in Municipality of Karpathos

We choose this Apartment because it has very good position if you won’t to wind-surf (this is reason why I gave 2 star not only one).||Choosing a breakfast was a huge mistake!!!: ||Your breakfast will be: 1pcs white roll, 1pcs butter, 1pcs cherry jam, 2 slice of chees, 2 slice of salami, 1 dcl orange juice and 1dcl of coffee, 2 scramble eggs, tomato.||Did I mention that this roll was like a sponge and salami was absolutely the cheapest you can buy?||No problem if we got this ones or two times.||All this was exactly the same for 7 days!!! Well not exactly.....|| After three days we asked if we can have ANYTHING else from what we got until then. Old lady ask us what we won’t, but at the end all what we can do was change from scramble eggs on cooked eggs!!! But for this you have to ask day before!||When my daughter ask for 1 dcl of juice extra, she got a „killer look“ and juice, but she never ask that again- she bring her own juice/water next days.||We was afraid to ask anything else, we don’t now what are they ready to do.||Plan was to cook our dinner, but in apartment is kitchen where you can make only a tea or coffee, so this is not possible.||After five days we ask if we can get fresh towels and sheets, than we got a „killer look“ again , but we got a towels.||Air-condition is in apartment and is probably working, but for that you will pay extra 7 Eur/day. ||Hospitality was disaster, all what is matter is to make some saving and more savings and less work.||These apartments are a good choice if there come some friends just for surfing and drinking, but don’t take...

Well, collecting islands!. Not sure if Karpathos during the end of October was a really good idea. The originally fixed accomodation informed me that they close earlier and that means prior to my stay on the island. Changed to Kalimera Karpathos. A woman picked me up at the airport, fast and free of charge, nice. No other guests at the accommodation prior to my stay and also thereafter. Everything in this small town is closed, simply everything. Expected something like this. So good to be prepared and carry something to eat and drink from Athina with me. Small and clean it is, with an open terrace to sit in the sun in the evening, nice. A short walk only for a visit to the beach it was. Quiet during the night, simply unreal quiet, ok, slept well anyway. No breakfast at the accomodation this way, back for the airport self service by taxicab, not cheap with the driver coming from another town to shuttle me for the airport. Off-Season is definitely good, but to much Off-Season is also not perfect. Ok, with more people around it might be a really nice place to be...

Let us be clear. Do you like windsurfing? Then this is the perfect spot to stay. Bear with me however.||||General cleaness is nice, thanks for the lady doing the daily work, which she does pretty well. Also sheets are changed twice a week. Nice.||||You take an apartement with Kitchen? Then expect a tiny hell due to its extremely poor equipment. ||- Missing detergents. Yes you can buy a bottle of cleaning detergent and a sponge in the store for 1.4 €. But do not expect it to be there.||- No towel in kitchen. Either you take one with you or you have to use bathroom towel.||- Ants everywhere. And everywhere means everywhere. Even in our laundry.||- No glasses.||- Missing knifes. You cannot cut even bread. ||- Bring your own pan and a kitchen spoon.||- Salt? Nope. Go and buy half a kilo and leave the rest there.||||Generaly bring a WHOLE kitchen with you if you expect to prepare a scrambled egg.||Let us go on. The bathroom was smelling from sawage.||||Yes it is clean. Yes it is painted. It could be a five star ranking if the owners would fix the above...
