We recently spent three wonderful days in Petrino Pentolvio, the traditional stone mansion on the mountains of Kastoria… ||||Pentolvio fully deserves the name given to it by its owners, in their unique sensitivity toward nature and people. Pentolvio means “five-fold prosperity-in-true-happiness” and this is what the hotel offers to its guests: ||||* A superb view from the 1000-meter elevation, a panorama of the lake, the mountains and the green valleys in-between …||* A room with modern amenities while furnished by antiques and hand-made objets d’art; its own balcony allowing the full view of the iconic environment. ||* A pleasant home-like atmosphere in the large dining / sitting room endowed, too, by various antiques and the same view. ||* A spacious outdoor patio with rich green grass and many flowers where we relaxed, with coffee and drinks, taking in the view; at night, the moon, the discreet lighting on the patio and the lights of the city and the villages far in the distance below, made for a truly romantic atmosphere. ||* Beyond all, our host, Christos, was a true blessing; always smiling and warm, eager to cater even to our unspoken wants he served us great breakfasts and sandwiches (including his famous omelets with hand-picked forest mushrooms as well as marmalades and juices also made from forest fruits); he generously assisted us with information and sightseeing suggestions. Warm & cozy accommodation at a traditional guest house. Clean and warm rooms along with a stunning view at the picturesque city of Kastoria and its surrounding lake.||The most remarkable thing though, is the outstanding hospitality provided by the owner Christos Pavlou. ||Excellent handmade breakfast and immediate assistance in every request, makes the visitor to feel like home.||(The absolute peak is the tour organized by the owner to nearby mountains for wild mushrooms harvesting. A charming cozy hotel with an amazing panoramic view of Kastoria, the lake and the surroundings mountains. The amazing view can be seen from most of the rooms and from the nice garden.||The rooms are clean and large. The beds are very comfortable.||A home made breakfast is included in the room rate and is excellent. Christos, the owner, makes eggs with the mushrooms he picks up in the forest. Christos recommended us good restaurants and gave us information...
