I have had the privilege of being a regular guest at Filoxenia Apartments for over a decade, and with each stay, the experience only gets better. My husband and I visited this hotel in early August 2017 for a 3-day stay. We had booked everything online and was told that we were given the best room. The internet photos showed a fantastic, boutique-style, very clean, and modern room, only to find out in person that the photos were completely different from what we were given. So disappointing !!! I specifically ordered a double bed, but was intstead offered two singles put together with a type of an upper mattress. The sheets were not even big enough to fit/cover the mattresses. I mentioned it to the onwer who said that it was his fault but he did make sure we got the upper mattress. Also, we discovered the cleaner's vettex on our sidetable. We took it to the reception, only to be told that these things happen. NO.... These things do not happen if you want to call yourselves a luxury boutique hotel. NOT if you charge 120 euros per night for a room that has not been renovated in years. The tables were dirty with old stains on them, the curtains had turned yellow, the bathroom walls were "exfoliating" and the shower phone was full of residue. On the flip side, the hotel was walking distance from the Agia Pelagia beach, The inclusive breakfast was ok too. Overall, this room should not worth more than 60 euros per night. Sorry but no value for money here... Very...

Filoxenia Apartments is top value for money. The apartment (107) is one room, large and nicely located so we could look out the rear window at the sea, and at the other end is a balcony with seats and a drying rack. The bed is big and very comfortable. There is a lot of wardrobe space so you can unpack completely. The kitchen is basic but very handy with its fridge and sink and cooktop. The bathroom is large for Greece, with a proper vanity bench for the basin. Great hot water. The AC is really effective and we needed to run it all night because of the hot weather. Marianna and the family and staff were very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us like family and helped us with bags. Breakfast was delicious and to our preferences; muesli and yoghurt and fruit. All kinds of other foods were available; English, US and European tastes all provided for. The coffee, made for us personally, Greek style in the briki, was exceptional. We used the pool a lot, especially in the afternoon because it gets shade. The hotel’s location in Agea Pelagia, is just a couple of minutes’ easy walk to the sea and only 25 minutes easy drive from the island’s airport. Many cafes and restaurants are within 200 metres. There is also a well-stocked general store, and a post office. The nearest ATM is 15 minutes’...
