I had stayed in this hotel in the past and the location was convenient for the purpose of our visit to the area. We had an invitation for a wedding in the end of August and I made a reservation for a two night stay over the phone. I deposited the full amount for a two days stay on the 16th of August as instructed. Unfortunately the wedding had to be postponed because the groom had to be admitted in the hospital in an emergency and went through a serious surgery. As soon as I was informed, I called the hotel and asked for a voucher because the wedding was going to be rescheduled in a later date. The girl in the front desk informed me that the policy of the hotel was that there are no refunds. I said that I don’t want a refund but a voucher because I would make a reservation in a later date. She said that the policy was that there aren’t any voucher either I politely asked for the management, she said that the management wasn’t at the premises. To make the story sorter I never had the chance to speak with the management every time I called them. Once I told them my name the management were busy. It’s good to have a policy but the policy is not concrete, it’s unprofessional and inhuman not to listen to the customer, hear his problem and decide for the mater. Refusing to speak with a customer is very negative. The blame of course, is all mine because although I saw the reviews I didn’t pay that much attention. So an advise to all the fellow travellers, pay close attention to the reviews, if a number of the reviews are negative on the same matter there must be a problem, so be more careful in selecting a hotel. This will save you from paying for a stay you never made as...
Read moreThe Olympus Terra Boutique Hotel is situated in Giannouli which is around a ten minute/€7 cab ride from the centre of Larissa. There isn't much in Giannouli itself but if you are driving (as I was) then the advantage of staying here is the ample free parking and it helps you avoid the nightmare of negotiating Larissa's streets and finding somewhere to park. I was attending an event at the nearby Larissa airbase and found this hotel was well situated for access to the airfield. ||The hotel is pretty new only having been open for a just over a year. As a result everything is new, clean and fresh. The staff are friendly and speak good English. The room had everything I wanted including a safe and good air conditioning.||Breakfast is the standard continental type and was fine if nothing special. ||At the time of my stay the restaurant/bar didn't serve evening meals which means venturing into the bars of Giannouli and going into Larissa itself. ||I would stay here again if I was...
Read moreAs a solo traveller from Australia l have experienced a 5 Star hotel. My stay was for 4 nights in April 2024, as I explored Larissa. When you book please take out the breakfast option, you will not be disappointed. The room was quiet,(note that the lift in this hotel is exceptionally quiet), my bed was remade each day, along with fresh towels. The hotel is on the Bus 7 route from Larissa city centre, the staff will willingly share the timetable. This bus service enabled me to connect with other city buses to visit/your the various museums. Most importantly, as a agriculturalist (Oenology) the hotel at my request organised a visit to Greece's oldest agricultural vocational school, Averofios Farm School, for this my appreciation is boundless. When I return, I will bring my wife to share/enjoy the 5 star...
