Amazing hospitality of Ellie and Giorgos in a paradise location in the mountain forest, very close walking distance of 15' from the almost abandoned village of Achlada (7 inhabitants during winter). We went to see (and listen!) the ancient olive grove with trees of thousands years old through the eyes of Christos Christodoulopoulos creative sculpture, and we bumped into the warm little restaurant with the fireplace on and the big hug of Ellie. First was the Cretan tea with ladania (systus), sage, mountain tea and malotira, all products of her garden and the delicious Cretan thyme honey. Then was the charoube homemade bread, and the first quality olive oil made by her parents in Thrapsano village. Then the traditional live yoghurt of sheep milk, galotiri, and the specialite of the day pork with eggplant grown in the house. Salt that the parents of Giorgos pick up themselves from South of Crete, mixed with oregano of the house, and green olive paste as complementary. Next weekend we will come to make raki to celebrate her mother's birthday. We won't miss next outdoor trekking on the mountains of agios giannis. We wish you good luck with the inspiring houses of Mr Mourtzanakis, whose love building the place filled our hearts. We were lucky to meet him personally as he passed by to say hello returning from his job. Thank you for the warmest...

The location is magical: surrounded by mountains, with breathtaking sea views and sunsets that leave you speechless. The peace and quiet of the area make it perfect to disconnect and enjoy every single moment.
The accommodation is a beautiful mix of tradition and comfort. The villas and cottages are spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The pools and common areas are a wonderful bonus for relaxing after a day at the beach or exploring the island.
What makes this place unique, though, is the hospitality. Marcos and his family welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness. They were always available with great recommendations, stories, and a sincere smile. You can truly feel the love and care they put into this place.
