Nymphes Luxury Apartments — Hotel in Municipality of Malevizi

We lived in this apartment from 10/04/18 to 10/16/18 (a large family of 3 adults, 3 children - 1 child of 1 year). When we arrived, it turned out that the hostess had forgotten about our reservation and canceled it, without warning us (all confirmations by mail were requested and received from her in advance). She refused to return the money and placed 6 people in an old double room for 2 nights, then another 2 nights in a suite, and only then in a room reserved by us earlier.||||Instead of an apology or compensation, she only pretended not to understand and went to her room. Vacation was ruined.||||Returning from a trip to Santorini 10/09/18 late at night in the apartment, we found that they are dirty and not ready. The hostess again forgot about us and rushed to clean them. We stood outside with the children in the dark and waited.||||The apartments themselves are not luxurious at all, as the name implies, but old and worn out. In our room in the toilet there was always water from the toilet bowl on the floor. A lot of cats who constantly walk on the tables and steal food from plates and packages. The road to the apartment is quite dangerous - from an asphalt road about 700 meters of dirt dirt road...

What a beautiful place for a quiet, wonderful holiday. Owner Pepi is very sweet and very helpful. She gives you advice, even when some things are not recommended due to the weather or season, provides information, maps and books to borrow, and answers all your questions. A beautiful and special person. The lady who maintains the rooms is also a very sweet person who will help you if you need anything. A warm and lovely lady. She doesn't understand a word of English, but with hands and feet you can go a long way. The way up from the main road is quite scary if you are not used to it, but with the beautiful panorama from your apartment it is absolutely worth it. What is also fantastic here is that (apart from some music sounds from the town below) you experience a lot of peace, you smell fresh herbs from the mountains and hear the goats walking around with their bells. This accommodation is about a 20-minute drive from Heraklion airport and is quite centrally located for day trips. Beaches are plentiful nearby. All this makes it an ultimate stay where you would never want to leave. This was our 2nd stay in 13 years but you will want to come back...

This property is all about the view, and it is absolutely amazing! The owner is a very nice lady. ||Now a few issues: the road is rough (only access for one car for a long stretch), the photos are not necessarily accurate, and a challenge to find reception (although this has been mentioned in many reviews which gives the feeling that the owner doesn’t care to change this). I think many of the photos are the private villas, which appear to be much more up to date but there are only two villas. While it’s a lovely property, I do not think it’s luxurious at all… it may have been spectacular when it first opened. A few other things: had a really short shower curtain so the entire bathroom floor got wet when showering and kitchen could use more utensils. There was an old, abandoned car not far from the pool as well as areas that could have been touch up a bit. ||In summary, I think it’s a great value for the money however if it is luxury you desire,...
