One of my favourite and definitely the best-valued hotel in my month-long trip through Peloponnese.
The owner (and rest of staff) is extremely kind and flexible. The room was spotless, new-feeling, matching interior design, with a little balcony, 'mosquito net sliding door' that also repels sunlight, and a very efficient (and quiet!) AC. Filtered water refilled daily (if asked), so loving the more sustainable approach. Cute little community "living room" with various books in the lobby area.
1-minute walk to lovely beach (I always climbed over the small hill and had the entire next cove to myself); beautiful water to swim in with a great view of Monemvasia. Also, walking distance to my favourite Taverna all trip (O Takis) :))
Had a great four days to explore both Monemvasia and the surrounding peninsula.
Will definitely be back when in the area! Felt...
Read moreWe stayed for 2 nights. This is a small B&B hotel in Xifias village, just some minutes away from Monemvasia. I think it was the perfect choice in order to avoid the overcrowded Monemvasia Castle with the really expensive apartments for this period. ||When we arrived at the hotel, the owner welcomed us with 2 cold bottles of water (about 36 degrees outside) which seemed like we found an oasis in the dessert after 3 hours in the car. The room was very clean, with a nice sea view at the small beach in front of the hotel and we could also see the Monemvasia Castle. ||The breakfast was nice, simple and traditional, served in a very nice balcony with sea-view. ||I really can't find something negative for this B&B as long as the price was reasonable for the services and the room. ||For sure I will...
Read moreThe location was ideal, as it was not too far from Movemvasia, but not too close either and the noise and hustle was non-existent. The huge veranda facing the sea and the Monemvasia rock is the best selling point of this place. To complement the great location, the staff and owners treated us like family. Their service was above and beyond. Breakfast was tasty and a lot of the offered food was sourced from local farms. A nice beach with small round pebbles, instead of sand, was a few minutes walk from the hotel and the sea was magnificent, both in clarity and temperature. As an added bonus, we witnessed the dash of a few little Caretta turtles from their marked nests to the sea. It was a...
